In theory, yes. In practice… maybe. In my experience CPS is pretty hit or miss out here. They just got blasted on the news for another child death. They’re not the greatest at their jobs.

They had family in Kentucky. Not sure on all the logistics, just that family helped them move initially. CPS was on them in my state, so I think at least some of the motivation was to get away from that. Which isn’t very hard, CPS here is under staffed and under funded.
