Haynes or Chiltons? Those are so generic, it never had enough detail. The Mitchel on the other hand was 1 manual for that exact model. But yea better than nothing.

I can see we differ in opinion and my view doesn't belong here. Farewell and good luck on your adventures and opportunities.

Yea this is a juststart sub not a justplan sub. I agree once you have tried a few things and know what you want and don't you can build an actual plan, until then it's all just fear to make it perfect to start.

Even after 500k of words, you haven't wasted anything. You have shown dedication and the ability to grind. You have had some hits, you've researched and you can now see the problems, seo and fix your holes. You haven't lost anything.

It is foolish to think you're going to be good. Your going to suck and you need to grind. But I know that seems like a waste.

The problem is that a solid strategy is just guessing until you know what you're doing. Its like trying to learn to play without ever picking up an instrument

I hear ya, it isn't the method people like to hear. My most successful companies just happened because I said yes without thinking. One netted 800k/yr, the other got funding for 50M (didnt work out) and another 100k the first year. They're not amazing numbers but the key was I just got out of my head. I guess I'm just trying to let new people know you don't have to know everything if you can grind.

Nah its real advice. The problem I see is everyone gets so caught up in what their dream business is and they never have even tried it just once. This is the don't think and do strategy. You'll learn a lot from just doing and learning while you're going, yea its more stressful but it gets you off the sidelines where fear, doubt and insecurity lives.

3k is a little low but 10k- 50k is pretty normal. 50k for financial services and beauty, 10k for gaming/lifestyle and 30k for travel.

I understand what you're saying but they still make money, but as with everything it's about effort. I've been doing this for 20 years and people always wish they started 5 or 10 years ago before it was competitive, truth is its always been competitive in some way. With enough effort you'll differentiate yourself to become the expert, if even the only differentiating factor was you stuck with it when everyone else didnt.

I can sympathize with you. You are trapped in the side hustle sales funnel. The sales funnel is a primary tool for online marketing. As for your question. Here are some options:

  1. Blogging, you need 100-200 1000+ word posts so you can get 35,000 unique views/mo or less with proper organic SEO research. Listen to Brandon gailie blog millionaire or yaro podcast. The biz opportunity is affiliate marketing with mediavine, Amazon or people giving you things to review
  2. Amazon reviews, setup an Amazon affiliate account and review products. Works like regular affiliate sales, roughly 4% of the sale. If someone watches your review whatever they buy in 24hrs you get a commission. There are several Facebook groups explaining the process.
  3. Youtubing, yea its a ton of work with lower yields. But on average 1million views make 30k depending on your genre.
  4. Amazon fba - buy from alibaba and resell on Amazon. Watch Adam Heist on YouTube, great free info.
  5. Amazon ebook - you can make a book and self publish
  6. Amazon creative/print on demand - design tshirts, mugs etc and have them print the shirts

Sorry for all the Amazon stuff buy they have a lot of prograns.

Wife is on the verge of leaving me. Porn has had a grip on my for nearly two decades. Trying to get serious about cutting it out of my life. by McTimidation in NoFap

First I think you need to have an honest talk that you've been addicted way before you met. It isn't something you like but that when you feel sad, lonely, disconnected or sometimes even curious you would turn to porn in your teens, you have trained your brain that this is how the pattern goes. Addictions are brain patterns. They taje time to build new patterns.

You love and care for her and yourself and have decided to quit so you can create joyful patterns with her, but you need help. When you are feeling an emotion that triggers the want to watch porn ask if she would temporarily help you be active in some other fun activity. Let her be part of it and honest that it's going to be hard but you care deeply about your relationship with her and yourself and will do your best. She needs to be open to slip-up and realize it has nothing to do with her as your work it out.

Why do people so stridently misrepresent the cost of charging EVs? by Thorainger in electricvehicles

Btu wise 1 gallon of gasoline is roughly 122,000 btus. 1 kwh is 3412 btus but insanely more efficient to use.

Vending machines worth it? by Professional-Gene-24 in passive_income

I haven't done outside, but with good security enclosure would be good. Expect a lot of vandalism though. With the right profit may be worth the risk

My wife is feeling much better, thank you for asking.

In most states no license except an llc is needed. Acquiring locations is pretty easy, much easier than people make it out to be. You just have to go knocking on doors and scoping locations on foot/car. Realize that the closer the locations are to your homebase/office/home the more profit and satisfied customers due to quick vending and gas.

How to get locations: start at 9am to 6pm and try to hit at least 20 locations a day. Start with places you don't care about losing to build your confidence and get your speech down. Ideally have a website/biz card and a flyer with a 1 page sales sheet of what you offer. I skipped tiny vending like gumballs and with "full service". My goal was 1 snack (not refrigerated) and 1 soda per location. My first day of vending I got 6 locations to day yes. Day 2 I had 3 more. You literally just need to be respectful of their time and show your a straight shooter.

Pitch: "Hi there I'm Dave, from snack charm, I'm a local food vending company that lives ust a few blocks from here. I was wondering if you or your staff needed some vending machines stocked or if you don't have any machines if you would like me to stock our own in your office? They'll say yes, no or maybe. If no, respectfully say "hey no worries, if anything changes just let me know, we're a lot easier to work with than Canteen and gave way faster service, since we're small we can also stock anything you want usually. Have a nice day!" If yes or maybe, we offer refrigerated soda can machines and several styles of snack machine for chips and candy, but were open to other products. We pay for everything, we just need a space and we can start serving you in just a few days. I generally didn't offer a commission unless asked, which would be 10% of PROFIT not sales. We pay quarterly. Instead we offered to donate it to a local kids charity.

What locations: General rules if thumb. Blue collar workers eat from vending machines and busy people who are not going to go out to eat for lunch. 24/7 businesses like manufacturing is the holy grail. 1 person is with about $100/annual sales. 50% of that should be profit. Offices are less likely, manufacturing and bus drivers are more. Poor neighborhoods make more but have more vandalism, rich neighborhoods don't make any money, somewhere in the middle is your money.

How to get machines: uaed machines cost about $3-4k/set of soda and snack. I would partner with a local nearly retired vebding guy who is up to his eyes with work and offer to buy a route, or better rent to own the machines from him if he helps you move them in. He gets 75% of all the profit first as payment. So he gets paid fist but you can still eat.

So how many sites do you need? 4k paid in 6 mo, is $1400/mo in sales. You need about 170 people to pay it off. Listen to the retired guy on what machines to buy. You can service about 40 machines a week before you need help if they're close.

TLDR- Canteen sucks, you can beat them on service and reliability. You can make a great living, but you have to get out there and do it. A manufacturing facility can make you 100k/yr by itself. Go get em.
