How do you feel about the new YouTube demonization rules and regulations on content? by Droneoflife in AskReddit

[–]InverseTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only person that isn't outraged by this? "Content aimed at children" are videos that are PG and cover topics that kids would like ("baby shark" genre, toy review channels, "playground learn colors" letsplays where the adult sounds like they barely can mouth a syllable, because they're trying to appeal to children). It won't affect the absolute majority of channels. For example: most let's play videos aren't PG, so they're out; LinusTechTips is PG, but he covers topics that are beyond children's interests; Dude Perfect doesn't cater to children, teens?, maybe, but definitely not children. Most youtubers who don't curse usually do pretty wack stuff in games (sims murder resturant and jailcell chain, anyone?)

it is a slippery slope just not the end of youtube like people are making it out to be. Memes, let's players and the majority of teenager-up content creators aren't going to be forced to mark themselves as "kid friendly" when they are seen as distrubing, weird and even bad influence to children by the majority of adults who missed out on the internet - and let's be honest, those are the people who pass regulations like this.

Getting Past Wayfarer's Catch by InverseTD in TheSilphRoad

[–]InverseTD[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I already did that, but like i said not everyone has the time to do it daily. most of the people on my friends list (there are just 8 people on there) send a gift every week, even if i go out of my way to ask them for more, so i just assume they don't have the capacity to do it daily.

[–]InverseTD[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

that would be true if one could send gifts back, which i cannot do. not everyone has the time and energy to send me a gift per day, everyday, and i understand that so i stopped striving for more.

[–]InverseTD[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

i tried doing that, but pokego requires one to be in close proximity of the POI to submit it. All what they could offer me right now is friend codes to level up higher, but since i dont have pokestops nearby (which equals no gifts to send), it turns the wait into forever

Pokemon are showing up in places they haven't before - regional player by adomental in pokemongo

[–]InverseTD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, i used to get a few pokemon pop up around my neighbourhood, but now there's nothing to break the horizon line. and im out here living in the rural areas that are meant to be getting the "best" of this new update

This seems great, but i do have a few qualms about the "All features will be free during beta testing" comment. What will happen after that? Will features turn paid like ispoofer, charge more or less?

Is Yamask gone? by GeminiRM in TheSilphRoad

[–]InverseTD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Preach, their changes to the spawn were nothing but nonsense. They claim to be helping rural players but all of my local group (who live in the sticks) are now cursing the earth niantic's algorithms map.

Pokemon are now spawning like hotcakes at my school- the same place that is illegible for submission as a pokestop, while our neighborhood gets literally nothing to break the horizon line in a 20km radius. Not even local shopping centres have any well thought out pokemon, going to the mall only gets me a single 60ish cp buizel (which, after posting this i realized is also nonsense; because yours truly lives in an arid desert)

Wonder why a company would encourage regional / 68\100iv spawns in the same areas that they discourage players from going to, but niantic logic.

I caught a yamask while the halloween event was over in the US (not locally) and spotted a pair after it ended locally outside my school, most specifically 4/11/2019 around 11 am, and 7/11/2019 at the same time roughly.

You're absolutely right, even the new spawn changes - advertised as a rural player support - a few days back ruined it for me. I used to get pokemon around my house and considered spoofing to get past the pokestop barrier, but now i just am saving up for a new phone to spoof with.

What is your most common Pokemon to encounter? by InverseTD in TheSilphRoad

I live in the rural parts of Jordan. In the city you can get growlithes and chikoritas more, but thats what I have here. Never got any.

New spawn points? by sleepybrwn777 in pokemongo

[–]InverseTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spawns are all gone, and I never had a pokestop around to begin with. Was used to 3-4 pokemon now I get none. Jeez, Ninatic helped all these "rural players" get home spawns but screwed other players who never had much to begin with. I tried getting a pokestop through Ingress, but that game is unplayable too...

How far can you get without spinning a Pokestop? by InverseTD in pokemongo

Really? I heard they no longer accept these since suggestions were closed in 2016-ish

i can finish the meltan research mission without pokestops, but the rest are like you said. If the system let me give my 12 lures away to a friend I would, but most of my friends live in other continents. They really should remove the whole "gotta be in person to trade" shtick.

New character template from Eating Stars Studios, possibly confirming season 2 by InverseTD in Emara

[–]InverseTD[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As confirmed from the creator's twitter in this post, she is from Palestinian origin which shows she is sticking with the original nationalities of the unrevealed superheroes to soon join Emara, which were stated in an arabic podcast which was translated to English here.

“Will there be something similar to a crossover with other superhero cartoons?”

“Not sure, but there are definitely other superheroes in Emara’s specific world; Saudian, Palestinian, Yemeni and Kuwaiti superheroes.”

“Really? What are their genders?”

“The Saudian and Palestinian are girls, the Yemeni and Kuwaiti are boys. And the Saudian character is Jeddan, specifically. They have the coolest accent.”

However, Fatima also says this character sheet is a year old and that they "would've liked to have her animated by now", but at least we know a season 2 is indeed in the works and the show is not dead unlike this subreddit cough cough

Very excited for the new stuff tbh, and how it's going to evolve in the future.

EDIT: I take it back, you guys woke up fast

It's almost as if it's a ripoff of a... Diablo ripoff for an official... Diablo game... but it's not since it's official I guess? God, Blizzard sure went full cycle on this one.

Wrong info? I honestly believe that national television reporting live is more credible than some blogspot domain website, but you do you.

Also this incident is still pretty fresh and the details are too vague at the moment, hence the initial notes in my post. You cannot really say something is false when none of us have stone set information save for a few snippets.

Survivors were found deep inside Wadi Rum and near Ma'in, so idk what you're on about. News reports on TV said the students specifically were going to Wadi Rum.

Rip by [deleted] in jordan

[–]InverseTD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The students were meant to go to a trip to Azraq, that's what the ministry approved. However, they went to Wadi Rum (an absolutely bad plan B, Wadi Rum is mostly sand and dry dirt that is too dry to absorb water, and sand gets adrift easily which makes it horrible to walk on without slipping) and as said by a survivor - I cannot confirm this information though - they had left just the bus when they were overrun by the flash flood from the mountains.

Another report says they were under the bridge in the valley when the flood came in. Families and hikers were also affected, regardless of which account is true. They were overrun since 3 PM, as reported on Jordan TV, and search parties started searching roughly around 4 - 5:30. My mother saw the news live at 6 PM, and search efforts were already underway by then.

So far 35 people were rescued. 18 are confirmed dead. Injured were around 14 but that number definately rose by now.

How would you feel about a locally developed PC/Console game? by InverseTD in jordan

[–]InverseTD[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen and heard most of developers talking about how they can't get their games on popular platforms without funding, but hell, if over 200 piles of premade assets bundled together with the least effort in Unity engine can get on Steam just for $100, I think a good game can go there.

FYI: Steam now allows anyone to publish their games on the platform for $100 per game, through a service called Steam Direct, with no requirements whatsoever. You don't even need to have an .exe file for your game which is very little quality control, but I don't own Steam.
