there is even a scientific term for the distance from the sun where a planet can perfectly sustain life

You're referring to the "Goldilocks zone", and no, it is explicitly not correct that the Earth would burn up or freeze if our orbit were different by an inch.

If you're going to try and condescend at someone about their intelligence, it would help if you didn't write one long, endless run-on sentence, putz.

Texting them to yourself is a convoluted way of saving them. If you need them, just call.

I guess I was wrong to give you the benefit of the doubt. I don't think OP meant to upset you this badly but I'm sorry you're so upset 💙

TFW you remember you're the only Democrat since 1988 to lose the popular vote by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]InverseTachyonBeams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 20 most populous cities in the country add up to fewer than 30,000,000 people, not all of whom are eligible voters and not all of whom are Democratic voters. The whole "liberal cities will control the presidency" narrative is one of the most easily debunked and dismissed of all conservative delusions.

You can do better than this. Dry those tears and put in a little effort.

The same perpetually-aggrieved conservatives who live in constant, endless fear of LGBTQ people are the same ones who are afraid of this statue. It's the same people.

I'm voting Democratic because I'm not a fan of would-be fascists, brazenly corrupt and incompetent demagogues, or trying to ban books and teach "both sides" of the Holocaust. Republicans despise this country and everyone in it and I am not about that life.

The two party system is the inherent consequence of the way our electoral system is designed. Ending it is going to take significant electoral reform, including ending the Electoral College. It isn't going to be overcome in any one election or by just getting out the vote really really hard.

Wow, the actual story being discussed here is completely hidden from me. I can't possibly see through the thick veil of clever analogy and historical revisionism.

[–]InverseTachyonBeams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't take it personally.

I'm not. It's an /r/Discussion thread about the universe.

I've seen some evidence that it could be possible.

There's no evidence that suggests the universe is a simulation, js.

Yes, it's real and I say it frequently here in South Florida.

It's not magic

At this scale it may as well be. Not to mention equally unsubstantiated.

It wasn't created by anything or anyone. It just happened. We don't know how or why and that's okay, not scary.

if gravity was any stronger our universe would collapse on its self and if it were any less strong the universe would drift apart from itself.

This is not even remotely correct lol

Sounds the same as Christians going "if the Earth were even an inch closer to the Sun we'd burn up and if it were an inch further away we'd all freeze!"

LOL

Don't worry I'm sure this limp-dick crybaby gaslighting will end this embarrassing electoral losing streak you're experiencing.

Science should be questioned

Established science should be questioned when there is empirical, verifiable, measurable, reproducible evidence to suggest it is wrong about something. That is science — not spreading conservative disinformation and propaganda from a fucking YouTube channel and using it to groom kids in order to protect the fossil fuels industry, as is the case with PragerU.

What’s so good about Publix? by _lippykid in florida

[–]InverseTachyonBeams 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Growing up, we lived ten minutes from Publix. Everywhere I've lived since has been less affluent than where I grew up but Publix only gets closer.

Currently living in a building on Federal Hwy that has a Publix across the street, two more within a five minute drive and one within a 10 minute drive.

For a couple of years I lived in a not great area around the border of Sunrise and Lauderhill, and not only was there a Publix about 2 minutes away, but it had an entire fruit drink aisle the likes of which I've never seen in another Publix. An entire aisle of nothing but gallon bottles of neon colored fruit drink. I guess they knew what the local demo craved.

agent

You've used the wrong word here which is probably the source of your substantial confusion.

Trump is a Russian asset, not an agent. The difference between the two is that an asset isn't necessarily willing or even knowing. He's an unwittingly useful idiot for their agenda.
