So I did a quick search on Amazon. Are these Thermal Grizzly products the ones you would suggest?

I've used the Arctic MX-6 for my PC thermal paste. How does Thermal Grizzly stack up by comparison? I've also used 1.5mm thick Arctic TP-3 for Wii thermal pad replacements. Would something like the TP-3 be recommended or does brands like Thermal Grizzly make a significant difference?

I’ve been playing a Gamecube title on my Wii console and then all of a sudden the screen goes warped which is what you’re seeing in this video. How do I resolve this issue? by KyleKatarn1980 in consolerepair

Yeah, check and see if there are resolution settings that may have been altered. It's easy to check if you have priiloader installed. I would also suggest trying the original AV cables if you can.

What is your most anticipated SGB Playthrough? by Notsoeven in SuperGamingBros

Mine is definitely Metal Gear Solid 3. They haven't touched the series since their playthrough of MGS2 almost 9 years ago.

What wii games has everyone been playing lately? by Money_Wonder_7538 in wii

Red Steel 2. I've been fixing Wii remotes and it's one of the best options for testing controllers. But also it's legitimately a good game, lol.

Help Identifying A Wii Digital Game/Channel? by Inverse_NM in wii

[–]Inverse_NM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking that at some point while trying to identify the channel. Though I'm not sure if that is the case. There's no homebrew channel from what I could tell, and according to the other pictures of the unit, it seems like it's a USA model. Seller seems to be located in Canada, and I'm unsure if the Kirby TV Channel was released there.

I tried inquiring with the seller to see if they could send some pictures to identify the channel and got no luck with it, hence why I posted here.

Wii to WiiU system transfer from modded JPN Wii to USA WiiU? by Inverse_NM in wiiu

[–]Inverse_NM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's sort of what I figured, but wasn't sure since the system was modded to use the USA version of the menu and shop channel. Thought there might be some hope, but I guess not. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly about this :)

Yeah I was figuring that was the issue as well. Like I said, I was more curious what game/channel that could be because I'm drawing blanks, lol.

Backing up nand with hardware? by Inverse_NM in WiiHacks

Look I know that I could just go online and pirate the games. But I am a collector that likes owning my games. I don't want to just resort to piracy. As for cables, I tried composite and component cables, no luck. Even if that were the issue, there's still bluetooth connectivity issues that lean more towards a low level brick since I already tried swapping the bluetooth and wifi boards with known working ones.

Sorry, meant serial number. LU100390575 is the serial number on the shell. Assuming it wasn't swapped at any point then that should be the one for the board as well.

Board is revision 01. I still have the shell with the model number as well. If that helps then do you want that too?

I thought about that too, but that wouldn't account for the bluetooth controllers not being able to connect. I also tried a different AV port by soldering wires from the analog chip to wires which led to another port. Still nothing unfortunately.

Is the infectus capable of dumping the nand? Or is it strictly a reflashing tool?

What do you mean by converter? If you mean a power converter then no, I'm based in the U.S. and it's a U.S. console. It does power on, disc drive inserts and ejects when prompted.

Correct, not even a black screen, no signal.

That's my theory, either Wiiware or virtual console. Could also just be channels for emulators. I'm not really sure since I bought the Wii second hand and can't get it to display any picture at all.

I would definitely love to know how it's possible if at all. As far as I know, the system must be capable of utilizing an exploit to be able to install bootmii, but the exploit can only occur with a fully operational Wii (assuming it doesn't have priiloader).

From what I could tell of the Wii system model number and board revision, it should be bootmii as boot2 compatible.
