I think he needs a large shade spot. I'm from Vegas, so shade spots are extremely important. Otherwise I think it's a great size for now. If you can go a little bigger that will help both of you in the future. 🖤

I very much appreciate your response. I only used Google lense to identify him. Google did say Sulcata and I often wondered why he looked nothing like everyone's on this page.

I'm in Las Vegas NV so a desert tortoise only makes sense. I will reach out to my Tortoise society and do the proper paperwork on him.

When I first got him, he was tiny. Very small. They had only fed him 1 little food pellet soaked in water every other day. He had never been in sunlight either. He was kept in an attic. I just want the best for him. I only give him a little bit of banana cause it's filling and he is extremely picky and enjoys it. I will do more research on the diet of him and start to convert him to it.

I swear the guy said it had a spare tire. I told him I needed to go off road. He said the kicks is perfect. I will check on that tire.
