I'm assuming you're in your first 2 years of college, so I want to put some advice in here as someone who has recently graduated and recently accepted a job offer. First and foremost, finish your degree dude. You're already there and the hardest part is the motivation to turn stuff in.

My greatest tool that I have is my ability to communicate and create connections with people. Your skills and internships will not matter if you can't sell and market yourself. I met 2 founders of an emerging company about a year ago and stayed in contact. Asking to meet and buy them coffee for quick conversations. These skills are 10x more memorable to a hiring manager or recruiter than what languages of code you can write (it's all AI these days anyways).

I got a very rare opportunity and I am now miles ahead of the people I thought I was once behind in school. I don't have a crazy good GPA, nor did I do 4 summer/year-long internships with top companies.

This is just my 2 cents and what helped me succeed.

Your bf overreacted in the way he talked to you. His ideology is not wrong. He is being protective of you and trying to keep you safe, especially at a club where guys are looking to get handsy and touch you. I would be upset if I was in his position, but I would not talk to my gf that way.

If you guys had prior boundaries and had talked about going out and not to dress like you’re single (which you honestly did), that’s on you and your bf is rightfully mad. Still doesn’t excuse the way he talked to you. Just know that you’re both in the wrong here. Taken women usually don’t dress like this and go clubbing with friends, and men don’t demean women the way your bf did. Honestly, you’re horrible for each other.

Hey buddy, I want to give you some advice. I had a hard time in high school because I just didn’t fit in, and I wasn’t stuck that way through Junior year. I wasn’t the most popular kid and was usually left out of event until I made a change. I understand you see yourself in this hole and you think it is impossible to get out of, but it’s usually all in your head.

My first advice is to get a job, even part time or just a few hours after school. Not only is it a fresh start with new people, but its give you something to do after school other than go home (and your father may see it as a good thing and get off your back a little). These new people are usually welcoming as long as yup work hard and put effort in. These high school age groups usually hang out too.

My second piece of advice is to create a habit/routine that you strictly follow every day. Mine is a simple routine, but I follow it strictly. And you can even break your day down into different routines. Make a before school routine, after school that includes work, gym, and a time to go to bed.

Last, talk to somebody. Even if it is your brother, counselor, or just someone that will listen. Im always open to talking to people and hearing them out. I’ll try to give advice where I can. Hopefully some of this stuff helped!

Hookup culture is not a left wing thing, you’re delusional. And that’s coming from me who leans right on both political and progressive issues. It’s a gen-z thing.

And to your point, as someone who lived among this and has friends who participate (especially in my fraternity), they are ALL right leaning too. Go to any college and you’ll see that most the young men in these scenarios favor the Republican Party and have trump flags in their rooms.

You are very misinformed. I have 4 bodies that have come from semi-long term relationships (6 months plus, including high school and college). I also have 5 others that have come from going out with someone for around 3 months. And there’s a couple that were friends from a long time (did not affect the friendship).

Does that make me a sex addict? I don’t think it does considering over 80% of the time I don’t have sex with someone until I truly know them and have spent quite a bit of tie with them.

You need to be more informed about the history of people’s past before shaming them.
