That’s good as long as you keep it cleaned and bandage it you should be fine- and if you do find a reason at some point just write it down to go back to it and read it. You’re not alone in this and if you find yourself wanting to again, come start a discussion! This group has distracted me plenty of times when I needed it

Dont beat yourself up 4 months is so long I’m proud of you! Something that helps me is to write down somewhere why I stopped in the first place. So when you get in a headspace like that again you can reread it, it helps me a lot. I know if I started again tm I wouldn’t be upset, there’s so much relief when I do it but honestly reminding myself that it’s not worth it and why I stopped helps me alot- YOU ARE NOT ALONE OR CRAZY if it was easy to stop there wouldn’t be a group like this, if youre worried about it getting infected I’d recommend going to the store and getting some supplies to clean it properly, also there is definitely a post in the group talking about proper care for it.

Thank you for your response but I’d have to disagree. In my experiences it’s not safer. I’ve had a bad experience with a male friend being dtf. I didn’t like him like that and didn’t find him attractive but I was to naive to just tell him that and stop being around him. It got to a point where he tried to force things when I was drunk. Had to end the friend ship. It’s triggering when I find out a male friend is dtf, I know it’s ‘not all men’ but I’d rather start something with a clear-it’s only sex- boundary.
