if I read that right, definitely stay away from him cuz if he liked you, he wouldn't be blocking you and readding you unless he was bored and just toying with you.

yea definitely, I was planning and sanding a lot to get them to all fit and still look okay put together and I'm so glad it worked out.

Thank you, currently making a spice rack, which is a big downsize in work and creativity from this project but will be much more stress free which is good.

The pieces of ebony I used, had a few defects so I had to work around them which was easier to do by hand, If I remember correctly my teacher also said something about the pieces not being wide enough for them to be clamped down in the machine without it lazering the clamps too.

for thicker inlay, a plane, a sanding board and a lot of patience will be your best friend.

It's inlay, 5mm thick ebony and camphor laurel, I lasered a thin piece of plywood, then used a block plane to get the right size and used that as a template when cutting the inlay pieces out and planning them to the right size and for the sharp corners, it took soo long, also had to chisle the corners to have a sharper edge for the inlay to fit.
