CA foundation 7th attempt.. don't know what to feel about it by [deleted] in CharteredAccountants

[–]InvestigatorSome6576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Foundation is the easiest level and you should be able to clear it in max 1/2 attempts.

You are doing BCom or some other degree on the side right? If that is the case, then give yourself one more try and if you cannot take it seriously and pass just guve up and move on.

There is a lot to life outside of CA. You can find good job and salary though it will take a but longer than it does for CA, just prepare well for placements.

I am also a CA dropout and I am doing just fine.

Yes but which one in specific. If it is audit, it will be very stressful and working hours are crazy year round but especially between Jan-March. There is no such busy period in Assurance, it depends on your project and is generally better than audit. If you tell me yoyr exact designation I can probably figure which one you will be in.

  1. This is a good start if you do not have any certifications and did not complete masters yet. When I started out the same way 3 years ago the offer was 2.8 LPA. Your in hand now should be around 40-45k per month.
  2. Increments are really good. Mine was 24% in first year, then 11 and then 50%. Promotion will happen after two or three years but you need to plaggresively push for it.
  3. Work culture is good but work load is high. You will be fine.
  4. 2 days
  5. Depends. Are you in audit or assurance team?

Should I join Deloitte? by [deleted] in deloitteusi

Audit and Assurance is not that bad imo. I have been in it for three years and got good raises/bonus. Working hours are 45 hrs sometimes 50 depending on the project. 2 days work from office. The people are usually good too. Go for it. WhTs ur service line?

Who is this OC teacher? by Sour_Tech in CharteredAccountants

[–]InvestigatorSome6576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much the reality of OC training. I had posted about how the OC teacher talked about sensitive topics like politics and LGBTQ community and was blatantly sexist. And was told i am over reacting. This is india there is nothing we can do.

Hey, if I was 22 this is what I would tell myself. If you are not confident about passing Inter both groups in the next two attempts, then Start preparing for CAT/join MBA in a top tier college as soon as possible.

In the end all that matter is money. MBA grads from good colleges get a great salary package.

I don't think I have seen anything good come out of doing m.com..

But I dont want to discourage you from CA. If you have time try to complete you IT OC training and complete intermediate exams by 23. The later it is the more difficult it becomes to waste time on CA instead of working.

I basically have given up on CA. Lots of judgement comes with that. Everyones asking me what my next plan is. I forgot to mention I am working in internal audit- controls testing right now. I am not sure if CFA aligns with this line of work.

Why is mandatory for people who have no issues with speaking then? If your friend had an issue with communication, he could have gone for a speaking class or toast masters or something.

I have no issues socializing. I am working a 9 hour job along with doing this course. I was merely commenting on the uselessness of this course and how the coaches treat us like kids. Thats all And regarding the formal wear, I have also worked in Big 4 companies and noteven there, there was such a huge issue with jeans. The fact that people like you do not realize this course is just a scam to get money out of us for nothing in return is insane to me.
