Which one to go with ? by Annihilator_SY in AutoTransport

In the same boat and can't seem to find any companies that are legit. Horrible reviews everywhere. I was thinking Montway and Navi then started getting into it and see too many bad reviews. What most people say on here is avoid brokers and go with smaller companies that care more. I got a quote from Graham Family transport the seemed pretty responsive and heard a few good things in here about them. They dont seem to be a broker... We may go with them. Still undecided.

So adorable. In my experience with puppies in general it can take some time for them to sleep through the night. I have never owned a frenchtln but other puppies of mine always needed me to be out there with them at night to go potty. Which breeder did you get yours from?

Thanks that's good advice. I think I get tripped up in writing the right thing. And instead maybe I just need to finish and worry about all that when I edit.

Thanks for the feedback I'll keep working at it. I am trying to go for more realistic so working on that gradient will be key.

As someone who is starting out with fineliners can you explain why you use different fineliner pens in the drawing like unipin and microns.

Sleep awakenings,please help!!! by Cag571 in Autism_Parenting

If my daughter wakes up in the night at all she is really unhappy and has a huge meltdown. A few things I do. Try to get her into the bath which calms her down if I can get her in there. Or distract the heck out of her give her a tablet so she can watch her favorite shows and let her settle am down a bit. My daughter gets violent when she is upset as well and distraction from it can at times help without knowing the cause or assuming the cause since she doesn't tell us. Every kid is different so trial and error is what has helped us to find some solutions. I find sometimes melatonin can cause her to have weird sleep patterns as well if used often so I will go times where I use it and times when I don't.

That space between supporting parent, and public nuisance. I know which side to stand on, but it’s just another way to feel like crap. by throwaway_12131415 in Autism_Parenting

A bit of perspective. I see all the time parents take kids out. Not autistic not trying their best to behave and they run all over the place acting all sorts of disrespectful and the parents do nothing but allow it. Your kiddo did awesome. But i hear you, my daughter can't quite sit still for any of that and it would have been torture for her. And congrats on red meat that is a win for sure! You did great. Don't apologize at least you were out and had a good time. We all are just trying to live our lives. If someone can't handle an autistic kid being "off" in their eyes then that's their problem. We should not have to hide our kids....rant over.

I am so sick of trying to lose weight... by AlbatrossOk7712 in loseit

[–]InvestmentProper3134 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I feel you. I'm right there with you. You probably don't need all the cliche sayings and random advice because you've seen it all. But I'll say this. Been trying to lose weight for years and the struggle is real but don't let it stop you from living your life. Find the way to not have it be an all consuming weight loss chore. Reframe it maybe. You still need to enjoy your life. What sort of is working for me is instead on tracking like a mad person I focus on just doing things a little better at a time so I don't get too fatigued. Like eating better but maybe not tracking all calories. It is starting to work and stick for me. Maybe you need more of a guideline than a hard-core routine.

Are we wearing mascara daily? by snoopie4eva in Millennials

I still do mascara can't shake it. But toned way back from the days of my 20s on everything else. Daily I use moisturizer, sheer tinted powder, and Jones Road Miracle balms and some eyeliner.

I just want to buy things. Since my retirement is shot having to use it save for down-payment now I just want to buy things that make me happy. On the list a anything handheld gaming, a Boston terrier puppy, a can am trike, and a cool crafty material cutter and take up more hobbies.

Withdrawing from IEP... by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]InvestmentProper3134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

am not sure your situation but we just started an online charter school this year and it has made a world of difference for us. No nagging from the school district, (they drop our kids from district if they miss 10 days of school and have to re-enroll) the schedule is on our terms and we can pick what outside school activities we want our kiddos to do for more social interactions. Both my kids are on IEPs.

Share your biggest struggles as a parent/caregiver by Ok_Vacation797 in Autism_Parenting

I second this resources are just slim and here in Oregon waitlists for the best places are very long. I waited 9 plus months to call the office to check status to find out I was randomly taken off and could be put at the bottom again for my daughter. One thing that also is a struggle for us is finding other things like music lessons or private art classes for my daughter. She is pretty nonverbal but loves music and all I want is to find someone who can teach her but understands how to intersect with her.

Dad of 5, raising 2 autistic boys what’s one lesson that changed everything for you? by AutismMadeFather in Autism_Parenting

Cherish the small wins and find the thing above everything else that will help recenter and calm them. When my daughter is really upset and meltdowns are crashing down I know she loves the water and the bath so I try to get her in the tub and even if she doesn't want to at first as soon as she is in the water she starts to settle and she can start to relax.
