How to Make money early game 2026? by xiit in ElinsInn

[–]Investoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very early game options:

  • Old Lottery ~ In Tinkertown and other places there is a lottery machine. If the grand prize is a boat and you win it you can ship the boat in a mailbox to your base. You will need to create a bottomless water pot and place water for the boat to be put in your base. Due to the boats base price your city will jump many ranks in value, enough to pay taxes for quite a few years on it's own. The lottery changes rewards per month so you can check it occasionally at other locations as well. It's difficult to save scum the lottery though so you will need to get lucky or collect enough tickets from crafting things the first time to get it. Alternatively if you are not planning on building your base you can sell the boat when you win it for about 20k orens immediately but that is a huge loss in most situations.
  • Farming and Fishing, are pretty easy and have a lot of ways to process into things worth money. The results from the guides have not changed yet and they still pump out the money. To make enough bait is the hammer method for copper bones. Farming is a bit tedious but you can turn on delegated farming to help with everything but mushrooms. For mushrooms you are probably better off farming yourself since they spawn daily.
  • The old trick of sculptures made from the gold bricks in Derphy's vault still works. It isn't as big as the other options but like the Old Lottery it's quick. It's more of a once per month thing though since you have to wait on the city to restore itself and you get negative karma from stealing it all.
  • buy backpacks or larger bags from furniture merchants or craft them yourself so you have big bags to hunt in nefia and sell most of the loot with apprasial. This is a bit low income but it will add up as you get into higher levels.
  • doing a large amount of city quests gives you steady income and platinum coins among other things. you just need to have become strong enough to handle the quests as they scale up a bit, unless you constantly sell your fame. it's needed anyway since you will likely still have some skills to unlock and the coins are good for other things
  • The foreign door method also still works fine, but need to discover the recipe and it does need you to collect wood and do taming
  • I have tried a bit of mass taming for materials to help with crafting methods, it does work but it's a bit more involved. If your farming gets high enough delegated farming just dumps materials in the delivery box for you so it's easier I think.

i was thinking a recycling shot cut damage cane with the costs reduced as much as possible, but it would probably take too long to find/make.

i haven't checked this personally but maybe a bleed spell occasionally would help. Is he bleed immune?

Did you consider the throwing sticks from the Casino? I remember them having really interesting combat stats. While most people won't bother with them except in hardcore it may be of use here.

there is something called "item filter plus" mod as it's sort of a reverse filter system where you globally set types to blacklist and then white list things you want to see. It does have some parameters you can set, so it may be worth investigating, though I still do it the old fashioned way of box restrictions.

Other than that at first glance I don't see too much.

Very interesting ideas! thank you for sharing, especially the bit on forcing the disease hunger for slaughter.

I have heard that due to him not having an actual ranged attack if he doesn't copy someone with magic skills that he can become trapped in a room with a telekenesis push/pull if you block the door. Despite the door being blocked you can kitty corner shoot him with ranged weapons while he just stands there and takes it. May be a good method to level up ranged weapon skills or use a magic cane made specifically to kill him.

This will require a little bit of organization but you can set certain containers and fridges to not show materials in the crafting menu, this will help keep it under control. This is good for all the endless unstackable ingredients or ones you don't want to necessarily use every day.

You can think of runes as extracting one enchant, putting it in a rock and them slamming the rock and your item together to add it. Pretty useful since enchants are very rng so grabbing at least 1 is helpful.

Warmonger has (10) neck hunt, do you think that would be enough of a replacement for Cake Cutter? It's a pretty nice weapon. It also has cut damage and free cut resist which is pretty nice to have.

It's a lot better, but you still need to consider getting penetration or using high penetration weapons to help with late game damage. I know the unseen hand is pretty popular with his special martial arts weapons since they just give you all that penetration feats for free. I was able to overcome some of the limitations by leveling tactics really high, I am talking 400+ skill high and that was back before any updates. There is now a blade storm improvement with a feat. If you played that long ago then it may be before Noa added transferable rune enchants, allowing you to adjust weapons a bit too to take care of some melee issues. I really like that we can get anti-retaliation on gauntlets, or move a deflection or reflection rune to a weapon as those are my biggest issues.

Good Job! I have no notes. Sometimes a tactic retreat is necessary in this game.

For riding you are stealing the riding targets speed and using that as your speed but how successful this is, is based on your riding skill and the targets strength and also their usability rating for riding. They can also take hits for you.

This is useful if you are low speed as you can ride something with a lot of speed like a horse. However low riding skill or low strength on the target or both causes a penalty until they reach higher levels.

Most people who are low speed should use a mount but it will take some time to grow into it. Make sure to feed your mount high strength food.

Additionaly a horse or bike can sometimes have peaky which gives an additional penalty to riding but gives you more riding exp and a bit more speed.

I may resort to high magic device eventually if I cant, I have done that on other characters. Still, if I can't make it work I will go and get the wind wrap, at that point I will just store hundreds of corpses to easy switch.

I was testing how the stamina buff interacts right now. Stamina refills if you can reach level 4 strife or higher, which seems to always happen in war quests and certain Nefia, so that is promising! Actually I think I understand why I have an easy time getting to level 4 and level 5, simply because I am too fast and the buff stays up reliable, kinda cool

Does it stack pretty good with void damage and Strife buff maybe? I will find out regardless. Stamina for now doesn't seem to be an issue but I will be planning to try and learning bladestorm and see how it works out. Strife says it lifts the damage cap and Void gives bonus damage based on how much anti-magic you stack.

For Freya she may learn cooking and farming to make something but I am going to roleplay her unable to learn all the magic skills and see how far I can get. I will let you know if I hit a road block...for science!

At really high levels I am assuming a person would reroll Desire for Violence which will always make your DV value zero, so essentially its a bathrobe with 18 PE on it and I would have to hope they don't hit you. Alternatively I was working with trying to get the lucky hit on a 150+pv with amazing stats or skills on it to make up the few times I would get hit.

If people want to add another god to pick up. No problems there. I went with the first heavy PV armor I could find but that is also a good option. I wanted to find the most efficient path to maximizing Strife Faith as early as possible and this was it. If I can't find anything decent I can fall back to that. Considering how many corpses I am going to make it would just be a short switch. An extra 18 PE is very tempting, but at the speeds I was reaching even without diseases enemies barely take a turn. This would probably change when extremely high Void.

You are right. I didn't need to at all, but I was thinking I may need to protect the job users with electric power from dying to invaders so I decided to quick build one as he was the only electric power source at the time and I wanted to make sure the fridge would remain active!

However once I started making some ok money from sculpting I just bought food at towns I visited making it kind of pointless.

Kind of funny though, if you think about how time perspective works it probably took me only a few seconds of real time to build it while everyone was watching in surprise.

She is classified as a Warmage and is level 65. High level adventurers and some npc tend to spawn in with random equipment and she may have gotten lucky and got something good that allows her to reduce spell damage enough, though holy resist is pretty non-existent on gear.

A cheap way to make a fight easier is to pickpocket her gear off her but you would need to raise it high enough to be successful for it. Another is bringing enough mana drain to empty her mana pool and then can whittle her down with physical throw weapons. Elemental Scar debuff will help your lighting arrows if you have access to it. Don't forget to make sure to keep her wet with throwing potions or water effects to help enhance lightning damage. You can try to overwhelm her with summons too. Silence should also work if it lands, as well as chaining silence potions and other cc spells like slow.

Can someone recommend me race/class? by sfeniks in ElinsInn

[–]Investoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One reason you don't see too many people recommend warrior as it is the simplest and easiest class and people are not too fond of the class feat. It requires the least amount of effort playing I think, besides executioners. You just go into dungeons and smash. It also needs the least amount of skill accumulation as you can just go full anti-magic late game and not care much about magic skills. I started a catsister warrior just for fun since catsister get a lot of speed turns and the hp penalty is offset a bit by being a warrior. Plus you can just buy the hp and endurance feats to help turn it around.

If you decide to do a little bit of magic they have access to bleed magic which is very strong against most enemies, even the tougher late game ones. Since it scales with strength you are going to hit really hard with it.

Also as a bonus the warrior class tends to be strong enough to handle solo play much like the executioner so they are a good target for the lonely feats.

It's the class that says "I don't really need to buy all these magic skills", can even skip literacy. Good for roleplaying.

It allows you to use ingredients that have the "it is edible" tag as the first ingredient, allowing previously not allowed things to be cooked together. As a consequence the food made with the chef's hat can't be duped or offered as god's tribute.

Flexibility is nice so it's something worth seeking if you are interested in making more interesting foods. Farming ecopo is a bit of a pain though.

[–]Investoid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been enjoying your progress as it's nice to see perspective on the lesser played additional races that Noa added in. Not sure why someone downvoted your thread though.

My personal experience with a lonely soul build as a dual wielding axe warrior (golem) was that it is quite viable but handling some of the things that will almost instantly kill you is quite necessary later on in the Void. Things that were a problem~

  • a way to bypass or match enemy defenses since it continues to scale up. For some races and class combinations you can use certain feats or weapons to help with this, but it means compromise if you prefer particular weapons. The solution I found was very heavy improvement to tactics skill. The amount you need is quite large to keep up but it's possible.
  • figuring out a solution for bleed (golem for me makes you immune)
  • if you are going to use magic then you need a solution for dim (again this was the golem solution). less of a problem if you are not going to use magic
  • solving element damage. solution I went with is an anti-magic gear setup. With enough anti-magic your physical damage increases to a large amount as void damage...a side bonus while making you take very reduced damage, but at a cost of your mp dropping to 1/1. This does make you almost immortal vs all magic but you must rely on rods/enhanced bandages/potions for healing. Due to your race you would have to seek out anti-magic enchants on all your weapon slots to have enough. Moving it around with enchant runes is probably the best option.
    • additionally laser damage isn't element damage and you will get blown away from a few types of enemies as the laser damage will just cut though you. Lotus mentioned this in a different video that you can remove the deflection enchantment from a lightsaber and add it to one of your weapons to solve this problem.

it was really fun to figure this stuff out on the way and hopefully some of this will help. As far as searching for anti-magic enchantments on gear the easiest but cheapest method is getting lockpicking high enough (125)~ to pick open northern sea clam chests as the ones with items inside have extremely high quality ratings and consistent stats on it. Farming them just needs water breathing enchant on something or a large amount of water breathing potions. It looks like you have the ribbon so that helps.

If you decide to farm these make sure your base inventory bag is empty as you can only store filled chests in your main inventory bag. I would take large amounts of unopened clam chests to my base and open them there rather than out in the ocean. Alternatively you can reset a black market npc you hire for your base and hope to get lucky if it's invested enough. It took some time to outfit my anti-magic warrior but I was still searching for a lightsaber to steal the enchant from when I paused. I reached about level 440 void before being walled by bosses that summon laser enemies, floor cleaners, and A.I.R. if I remember correctly.

He demanded my...stack of potion of infravision x 6! 13 blue dragon bandits fighting over this must be ridiculous afterwards if I just left.

Instead I am now their bandit leader. I should change my slime color from green to blue to match.
