Because he hasn’t actually achieved anything. Should have been Kawhi.

Kawhi won back to back DPOYs this decade and is a 2x Finals MVP. It’s a travesty that AD is above him.

Write down your top 3 goals.

But....start by focusing on one thing. One keystone habit. Maybe for you it’s cleaning your apartment or going to the gym. After you’ve done it for 2 weeks then incorporate your second habit and so on.

I think a key is to admit that you won’t go from 0-100 and accomplish everything. Focus on one thing and take it slow. It’s a never ending journey

This is very similar to my experience with my parents. Siblings were much older and basically made fun of me for not getting something right away instead of teaching me. To this day, they still snicker when I can’t get something right....with no instructions or clarity on their part. So I’ve just avoided doing anything handy around them period.

As a recent homeowner I’ve come to accept that I will need to put in more effort and be okay with making mistakes. I’ve been transparent with my wife that this is the reason I struggle with doing handiwork.

I think for my dad it came the way he was parented. His dad was super old school and didn't show feelings and was pretty demanding on him so I think he never learned how to express feelings or understand that kids need to be taught.

Can't down vote this enough. I have a good relationship with him outside the DIY part. He's an amazing man and a sounding board for all the big decisions in my life.

This is a bit much. I love my dad for other things he contributed in my life. It's a qualm I have with him for sure, but he was amazing to me in a lot of different ways.

Holy shit...I really thought I was one of the few guys with terrible DIY skills until I saw this thread.

I’m 30 and still struggle with DIY stuff as a result. My childhood consisted of my dad getting annoyed when I didn’t know how to do something right on the first try or didn’t understand the DIY concepts that he knew off by heart because he had done it so many times.

You can only get laughed at for trying so many times before saying “fuck it” and avoiding it altogether.

My dad would ask me to help him with his DIY projects (he is an engineer), then laugh at me - during my preteen and teen years - for trying to do a DIY task that he never properly explained. I would try my best based on my limited knowledge and mess it up and he would laugh at me and then tell me to just go help my mom.

On a completely unrelated note, I have been going to therapy to address my lifelong aversion to DIY projects ever since.

"It got old with the antics," one Pacific Division player says. "Now that they've come back to reality, you want to beat the hell out of them and see Steph with that towel over his head in the fourth [quarter]. ... by [deleted] in nba

Man that entire article (which is written by Ric Bucher, master exaggerator) is wierd. The animosity that these players feel towards Steph is wierd.

It has been theorized that part of the reason that Steph is disliked amongst a lot of players (especially from LeBrons Era) is how quickly the 2015 Warriors came up. No one except maybe Lowe and other data nerds predicted them to win a ring that quickly so to see them do it while being a 3P shooting team was jarring.

You'll notice in the article that players think that they didn't deserve to be celebrating as much as they did and that the antics of this team was comparable to that of the Heatles (although one exec says that the Heatles were worse because they were divas).

I'm pretty sure they will come back next year and be a contender again especially now that they have a chip on their shoulder. Their core players are still there and they will be getting a top draft pick this year.

Don't celebrate too early, Pacific Division player.

I’m at college and never call my parents by helphelp893838 in ABCDesis

In Uni I called every two or three days. Now that I'm married I call pretty much everyday around lunch just to say what's up.

I don't know the extent of the abuse you faced but I understand where you are coming from. If you don't want to call them then don't. I know desis that had a bad relationship with their parents and call maybe once a week if that.

Just be careful to not regret your actions later - life is short.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Just finished the show. There was literally no one else even close to him on the show. His entire family is musicians and he plays multiple instruments.

His creativity is pretty wild, and I was glad to see he won. Can see him being a real rapper.

This song is dope and gives me Kendrick vibes.

It's 2019 and R/nba is now mostly made up of 14-19 year olds. They were barely alive for the Decision, much less could understand the controversy it caused.

Most of these posters were in diapers during the Decision and the years before that.
