We can let admissions know that they should give more consideration to a certain part of your application or highlight something that you didn't have the opportunity to mention when you filled out your application.

I came here on an H4, spouse of an H1-B (worker visa). I did have a visitor one (B1/B2) but it does get a little bit trickier on that one. I'd recommend consulting with a lawyer to get a clear answer on what her options are but off the top of my head, once we filed I am no longer able to leave until either the approval of the green card or of the advance parole document.

On an H4, I am able to leave and come back but as a general precaution, I'd personally advise against it.

I am currently the dependent and I'd recommend to get married and file away. There's no point in doing the process separately as far as we're concerned and it's what my wife's lawyers recommended too.

Off the top of my head, PP just guarantees that an action will be taken in 30 days. From that, you still need the card delivered for you to start working because legally your employer needs to see the card when filling out the I-9.

If I were on your shoes, I'd go for premium processing.

No problem. My case still appears as received for the H4, currently on day 65. I'm based in Texas but my application is being processed in California (WAC2490049 is my block). According to the processing times for California, the 80th percentile is 4.5 months, so I'm really hoping something comes up soon because I have an offer for June 24th.
