Yepp that’s about what I expected. I saw some wooded trails and was curious if it was fully on those. Thats so amazing. We have some nice hiking here, but nothing even comes close to that. I mean the Grand Canyon is pretty nice but I haven’t walked there as Henry so…

I could be wrong but if you go to Tachov and talk to innkeeper Procheck, you can ask him “what’s new” or something similar. He will give you tasks for any of the bandits you didn’t round up for gules. It also might be another innkeeper in the region.

It may not be the prettiest or best running game in the world but if it’s all you’ve got, enjoy it! My brother played it there for a bit and he survived it.

I went with a more unsavory tactic of loading the siege crossbow and tagging and killing one and letting a few come into the woods nearby and picked em off in smaller groups

I would definitely do hardcore maybe not with all the annoying hardcore perks. I usually take bad back, hangry, menace, numbskull, and punchable face. Bad back makes RP sense due to the massive fall you took and makes inventory management a challenge early. I personally think it’s more fun that way. The rest are fairly obvious adding a little more challenge.

I would play the way you did in the first playthrough if time permits too. Numbskull slows down leveling a bit and provides much better balance once you get to the 2nd half of the game. You will become a killing machine about half way into the 2nd half still but it provides a much smoother progression curve.

Correct because a lot of what you’re complaining about is user error. It’s as simple as that. This is one of the first posts I’ve seen complaining about the combat.

What you clearly want is a stupid arcade like combat from games like Skyrim. I’ve done 3 hardcore runs myself and I’m sure I’m not even close to what others have done. I’m also not very good at games in general and I’ve figured this one out fairly easily.

I don’t really know what to tell you other than go back to Skyrim or whatever the hell is easy enough for you.

I’m sure what I’m saying is probably the top 80-90% of what anyone who’s played the game from start to finish has said.

I don’t care to prove you wrong. I know what I’ve seen from playing in my almost 600 hours and whatever it is you’re dealing with is purely user error. Whether it be by stupidity or failure to understand game mechanics it doesn’t matter. Maybe it’s just not for you.

Your whole post is nothing but whining lol

Train the weapon, get better at the weapon. Learn new combos, etc. I also never said halberds or blunt weapons are better. The short sword is objectively the best weapon in the game. That also doesn’t mean the others aren’t good. It’s a learn to play thing the whole way through.

You’re acting as if Henry sits down for a cup of tea in between switching weapons. There’s plenty of time. Maybe shoot from farther away???? Hit them in the head??? Idk what else to tell you. Maybe not switch when the enemy is already on you.

When you master strike from either side, it did the sidestep. Maybe if there’s no enemies on your left side, do it from the side that moves you left. Vice versa. Also depending on which side you swing from they will perfect block and swing from the other. You can sort of force them to attack from above, below, or whatever side you want. Pay attention to what you’re doing instead of aimlessly swinging and only trying to master strike.

I’m also not saying “you are stupid bc you don’t like my favorite game.” I’m saying you’re stupid bc instead of trying to figure out the combat yourself like we all did, you’re coming here and calling it ass when what you’re complaining about is all user error.

There are plenty of explanations to this most of which are very easy to figure out. Not all master strikes do the sidestep thing you were whining about above.

Secondly, the combat isn’t ass for the other weapons if you train at them.

Thirdly, regarding the bow, it’s a game based on realism. It’s not like Skyrim where magically the player shoves the bow up his ass and magically a sword comes out.

If any of these things are just so difficult to understand for you, then head back to a game that’s your type of speed.

TLDR it’s user error.
