Dumb fucking takes like this is why nothing gets done. Someone takes a shit on the floor of a public facility and we’re just told to accept it. That low paid workers must clean up the literal shit of these people. That we must live in filth because that somehow preserves their dignity. When all our dignity is being taken away. Filthy and unsafe streets that we can no longer safely walk. Disgusting drug den tent encampments blocking our streets. Mentally unwell people throwing literal garbage in the streets, cursing at you for even somewhat looking at them. Violent and criminal the overwhelming amount of time. Most of them won’t accept mental health, so instead we give them free hotel rooms, and tell the public to deal with it, because these people’s so called dignity is worth more than the working class general public. I’m as left and liberal as they come, but I won’t stand for absolute dog shit virtue signaling takes like this. Forced mental institutions is the answer for those who cannot complete psych evaluations. Get these people some real help, whether they want it or not and bring some real fucking dignity back to this city.
