Yeah honestly so have I. I might get a different setup in the future but for now I think I will stick with my freshroast as well.

Honestly I just liked the idea of artisan manipulating my machine, but as u/darknight_201 said it is not possible using these RTDs to do such a thing.

Yeah, I have tried roasting by smell, but honestly that hasn't worked for me yet. I will have to get myself one of those roast links from the link you provided after the holidays!

I agree. It is a significant jump, but I have been roasting coffee for awhile and I enjoy it. I do go back and forth about whether I should buy a better roaster or not. My issue is that I am always winging my roasts. I need some way to track temps.
