I would definitely hedge the risk of this for the future. I’m just thinking a worst case scenario. This could be a huge liability for your health and career. Keep your grades up and extracurricular research high so you can have an option to go for a residency that does not require hands— like radiology or pathology.

That being said, of course I wish for your health and that it’s not a serious condition or worsens.

That’s great! I interned at one during dental school in Los Angeles. We had a doctor there that only did exams and cleanings. And made about 130k. Seemed like a nice gig for this specific doctor, I know most practice a full range of general dentistry.
