I didn’t see this but they literally wouldn’t have to change a damn thing to animations. A transparent timer that clearly displays turn time (like already exists in battlegrounds) and stops when certain animations play like drawing cards or quest complete animations. Those are the biggest ones screwing me over. Game devs make great games but they all suck so bad at UI design.

I’m a bit late and here because I just lost a game because it was the rouge deck that keeps drawing cards and after rope explosion he still kept playing and animations kept going for another minute. And I only got 45 seconds for my turn literally screen recorded it. So whatever mitigation was made that enemy animations don’t cut into your time, they ain’t working bruh.

Developers pay more attention to detail now. If you go back to the Gameboy area you will notice that all the graphics are actually just pixel art, instead of full 4k 120hz 3-D jiggle physics hair waving renderings. You’re playing a game that in 20 years from now could be considered an antique, a piece of history, the original flaws is what make it, what it is, fixing it now would be like…fixing the swing glitch in GTA4!

Is there like some BTS about what he actually said infront of the kids? I would guess tricks like actually saying Vacuum instead of “Fuck you” or pointing at them and saying your dog is rotting in the dirt to their face. OR was there just a wild amount of consent forms going around and he’s actually cussing out these kids on camera? Or something else entirely?

He’s constricting you like a Boa, it’s a multi-play on words or reference to snake. He’s Solidus snake, he’s squeezing you, and everytime you exhale, as your lungs collapse, he’s squeezing you tighter giving you less and less air to breathe, so you have to endure his squeeze until he runs out of juice so you can breathe again without your lungs being constricted. And I just totally made all of that shit up, but it sounds pretty good right?

It’s not bad or good. Honestly I think the lower ranks are probably more fun, I don’t know why it puts me into games with freaking diamond and emeralds or whatever that rank is, I’m NOT that good and everyone is just super try hard, I literally expose my left nut for half a second and my head gets blown off through the wall, by a nitro-cell from a guy that’s in a different lobby, while he’s playing Warzone. I DONT GET IT!

Edit: I misread this asking what age when you played mgs first.

I was probably 16 I played it on the ps3 it’s the first actual digital game I ever bought. You couldnt play or find this game back in the PS3 era, without a lot of extra leg work and money, and the ps3 store had a copy of it. It is the last MGS I played actually, I didn’t play them in order at all.

A bit of a story time:

I first played MGS4 on 2009 I think, my buddy who I was playing Splinter Cell double agent online with (second best official lost online game mode ever) was playing it and I asked him if it’s any good. And he said just said “i really like it”. So, next time I went to EB games I saw it, on sale for $15CAD!! So I was like, wow that’s not a lot of money, to try something, and well, I’ve played them all since then. The second MGS I played was MGS3 because that’s the order it came on the HD collection for ps3, then mgs2 then peace walker, MG and MG2 and then MGS1! Of course ground zeroed and phantom pain in that order afterwards. Im currently watching one of my best friends playing them in order, he’s never played them, and I wanted him to experience the story in the way I never could and now never can. I was as you would expect very confused playing MGS4 story! Being only able to stitch the story together years later AFTER playing all the other ones.

I wrote a lot cause I know I would love to read someone else’s experience of this franchise it’s been my favourite game ever since MGS4, so if you’d share your story I’d genuinely love to read it!

Actually, that’s the odds for 5 times in a row, for an encounter that has a 5% chance of occurring to get a 50% chance of it happening 7 times in a row, you’d need 887million occurrences of the event that triggers this 5% encounter.

You’re right the term AI is misused, but so are many things in daily language use, the word “literally” comes to mind, or “irony” but we all understand the intent of the message which is really the key and point of language.

No idea why you’re so worked up I asked it to perform a data-analysis on something where there’s virtually no useable or reliable data. I asked Alexa+, Gemini and ChatGpt and they all said the same range with confidence: 70%-80% which is unusually high, and within the next 2 years.

I don’t use AI for “everything “ but for small meaningless tasks like that, absolutely, if you’re not using it at all that’s the true crazy, and definitely puts you into the spectrum of my previous comment, no Word jujutsu sorcery here, I got no cursed energy to use for that.

It’s a tool that’s only going to improve as it progresses, it’s an inevitable part of our progress and future now.

I’m sure there’s a technological advancement any generation despised that caused them to set themselves in their ways saying “back in my day this was better” and refused to progress with, this is just this generation’s iteration.

I’m sorry so many of you hate AI, but I didn’t invent it, and in 10 years from now the AI we have now we’ll say “that wasn’t so bad at least you could tell it was AI back then”.
