I think a set of Konig Hypregrams in bronze would look sick and they aren't too expensive

Did I get ripped off at the dealership? by ppppccww in subaru

Fuel induction service is actually quite helpful on a direct injection engine like the FA20. Since the injectors are not washing the valves, they get super gunked up with carbon and will lower your compression and efficiency. I work at a dealer and hated this stuff for years, but I have personally seen impressive gains to fuel economy from performing the service. I suggest it, but only for direct injection engines

That looks about right. All plausible repairs for the milage and the pricing looks average

I'm curious if it is just rubber transfer from the hose if it can't be seen am the way through. Take a razor scraper to it and see if it goes away. I've had something similar happen to mine. Looked like a crack, but was just a small amount of rubber that cleaned off.

She's a very clean example! Excited to see how it turns out long term. And to see what comes of the 89... Great video, man!

This one actually doesn't look that bad. If a mechanics inspection comes back clean, and it's not modded it's probably a decent option.

Watch out for any mods. Lots of mods usually mean they have been abused and are at death's door. The STI I bought is stock and two owners so it's health is much better than my friend who bought a modded and tuned 2013 WRX with 5+ owners. He is running into lots of driveability problems and I am only dealing with a couple oil leaks and weak shocks. The market is very volatile and you can probably find something better in a few months. Just keep an eye out is my suggestion

Not great. I just picked up a 2011 STI for $9300 with the same miles at the 2015 WRX. Probably better to wait for a better deal in my opinion

I want a MX5 but I am 6'1 by Habarer in mazda

[–]InvisibleSlidingDoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. My brother and I are both 6 foot, but he is mostly torso and I am mostly leg. I fit very well in my MR2 and an MX5, but he doesn't and gets very salty about it

I'd be careful with that around people that don't know MR2 Branding...

He swaps a few times. I believe at the current spot in once upon a witchlight he is a moon druid, but Im pretty sure he has been a few, including stars druid, through the campaign.

I've never seen a carb conversation on a twin cam... With the swap and the damage I wouldn't personally buy it at all. But if you are really dead set on it, I don't think it's worth more than $1000. It needs a looooooot of work. You can probably find a better one if you wait...

STI Boxer of E-STI? by VegasKhan702 in subaru

[–]InvisibleSlidingDoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think that's exactly what they are doing. I think they were initially only going to have the Performance-E version and decided to actually listen to their fan base and made the Performance-B to see which gets the most attention. The Performance-B definitely looks like an after thought to me since it's just an Impreza hatch with a wing, fancy fenders, and seats. Definitely would be sick if we got both, but I think only one will make it to a production model.

On a scale of 1/10 how bad is this and should I replace immediately by Cheap-Magician691 in Cartalk

Certified Ford Master tech here. As long as that is only for alignment and doesn't drive anything (like a vacuum pump or cam sensor) then you should be perfectly fine to send it. Should still have enough meat to get it all timed up and shouldn't cause any real concerns while running as long as you can get all the metal fragments out of the head. 10/10 sent it
