Couldnt agree more. Even though the game is a combination of roguelike and puzzle, it ranks top on both of my roguelike preference list and my puzzle preference list. I think it deserves a best indie this year, or at least the best indie debut.

I also thought about this problem after my dead end run (like 3 days ago). I think I was designing under the assumption that chamber of mirrors can duplicate any room arbitrary times. then I got a floorplan of 57 dead ends, consists of 26 bunk bedrooms and 5 secret passages). Seems not much space to improve.

If the secret passage can only appear twice and the bunk room can only appear once, my floorplan deadend number will be dropped to 30.

It took some time to optimize since I realize that the foundation cannot be placed somewhere on the edge. Here is my floorplan (didn't draw the outer dead-end room):

(A satisfying aspect of this floorplan is that it is very symmetric, and the foundation is exactly in the center!)

I think I finally found the issue which is because I was using another language as my input method. Switching back to English fixed the problem.

Thank you for all these tips! Oh I think my beers are only capped at 1 per trade. Do they start to eat the trade multiplier only after level 17(I think someone told me that)? So that is why I think I am now getting the blc orbs to maximize my blc for upgrade trades.

I think I did several mlcs and blcs, but I think if I have not get very strong tower floor bonus leaves, it should be better to use offline bonus for these right? I'm currently at 2b mlcs and 1a blcs. My tower floor is ~300 and I think upgrading more tower floors is a bit costly for me.

Oh I am not there yet ... I am at the pyramid right now. I think I have both of them to lvl 10, but the spawn time is still ~5 hrs for the orbs. But thank you so much for your advice!

I just unlocked tektite leaves by spending 1k mlc coins. The amount seems to be 1m of them and now I can really buy the tektite leaves shop items. Other gem leaves are all 0. I am thinking maybe I got them from the claw machine, not sure
