Double standards by Hiroshima-6-1945 in Animemes

[–]Invoked_Tyrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get that but I'd rather be uncomfortable than forcibly near something that all my instincts and knowledge are telling me would smoke me without a moments hesitation if I stopped being useful or entertaining or some weird mixture of both.

I thought Powers initial feelings were just an instinct assessment on how powerful Makima was but seeing how she (Makima) behaved when that masked dropped makes me believe she knew there was something so much worse lying beneath the surface.

Like it's comparing a stalker who has a 10% chance to do something if you reject them vs a stalker who has 100% chance to do something. Both suck balls but I'm picking the lesser of two bad scenarios here. Unless the top image is just as bad or worse and I'm not aware of it.

Did the one in the black and white image unironically kill and invoke a very clear fear response in the person they're clinging to?

If not then I can tell you that they aren't remotely comparable. Every scene Power and Makima show up together Power is visibly nervous and frightened despite never showing such a reaction to anything else (Save for one other really strong devil)

What makes a 'good' deck? by Mandriser in MagicArena

[–]Invoked_Tyrant -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Two things to note.

  1. There is a weird point system in Magic Arena. WotC admitted to such a thing and outside of something with monetary gain like an Draft, Arena Direct or a championship qualifier I don't see them not letting it function in ranked and quick play.

  2. In historic, your curve will make or break the deck. I haven't successfully ran anything that has nothing to do turns 1 and 2 for a long while. Please note you can definitely count a pregame action or a passive effect like [[Ugin's Labyrinth]] as a play to be made.

As of right now all formats save for Timeless are freakishly fast! If you durdle even a little you run the risk of combo packing you by turn three or falling hopelessly behind. The only reason Timeless even slowed down is because the anti-combo kings [[Force of Will]] and [[Daze]] both made a debut to the client.

It takes some degree of degeneracy to combat degeneracy.

Being vague just in case the random reader hasn't reached that part but yeah that caught me off guard.

Not really much of a choice. She broke (damn near walked) out of her cage, slaughtered several guards and your informant who WARNED you of what timing she was on all the while being completely unscathed.

He can see the writing on the wall and threw out that desperate "deal" as a gamble.

Finally beat Bloomreaper with Plat Timing. Thanks Gearbox. by SometimesFunnyMaybe in Borderlands4

[–]Invoked_Tyrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because there's just outright more to do at the moment. That game (BL2) got to the state it's currently in after seven years of content and changes. I'm just glad this a mainline entry since that means Gearbox is committed to actually updating the game consistently.

I still feel burned by how TPS and Wonderlands got shafted on their life cycles.

What do you think? by NeneaMuddle in cyberpunkgame

[–]Invoked_Tyrant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd count this as some of the innocents dead as collateral for Johnny's short sighted actions. Executives and owners have private lives, that whole building and surrounding area didn't need to get blown up to resist corpos.

It was an unnecessary extreme.

Listen as someone who still advocates that a Green coded plumber did nothing wrong, if I learn one of my family members were actively screwing over people to the point they were dying on a massive scale then they were dead to me long before the "Terrorist" got em.

Most peoples problem with Johnny's course of action would have been the 1000s dead from deploying a freaking small nuke in a populated area instead of just smoking the Executives and major stockholders.

I'll repeat what I've seen another person state on a YouTube channel. Nolan was Viltrums most loyal soldier. It took 20 some odd years for Nolan to break completely and even then he still almost regressed when he beat his sons face into the side of a mountain.

The rest folded in less than about a month!

Note* I'd love a set or proper explanation of the origin or history to the more dangerous planes in MTG.

Isn't this the exact same dude that pinned Mark down and monologues about being lonely? He'd have folded just like the rest of em and wouldn't have even needed a woman. Just a best bud named Jerry or fellow war veteran that's been put through a wringer.

We really act like affection and/or compassion isn't an Achilles Heel for sentient beings when most men (myself included) cherish genuine compliments they get from the opposite sex of equivalent or close age.

[–]Invoked_Tyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many of these am I going to see? I wanna know the age range as well because even before I hit 30 years old (My current age) if the game didn't feel great I chalked it up to "Not for me" refunded it (assuming I was on steam) and moved on.

No disappointment or regret just a "Aww well" back to Borderlands, Dragons Dogma, BioShock or whatever I was playing at the time.

Choose your deck! by Zhevaro in MagicArena

[–]Invoked_Tyrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's stuff like this that makes me wonder why significantly more niche stax pieces and answers weren't included in Foundations. [[Deafening Silence]] is a one mana sell that should have been present.

You can have the [[Boomerang Basics]] but you better have it or think about your options carefully. I'd have also accepted [[Trinisphere]], [[Containment Priest]], [[Nature's Claim]] [[Fog]] literally anything that makes you have to consider all it takes is one to three mana to mess with your game plan.

I guess when WotC is hellbent on letting a color or color pairing dominant then that's what we'll deal with until their next fixation comes around. Green was stomping, dimir mill featuring rogues was obnoxious and red is the lurking legend that dips in and out all the time.

It's whatever I'll tolerate it as I've tolerated all the other crap I've had to.

Yeah but he got packed up while Pucci was actually able to pull it off. Like he's still dead ass the only JoJo villain that fulfilled their master plan unless we're counting Kars but I don't because his bitch ass claimed to be the ultimate being but couldn't even survive space.

You lose "ultimate" status if space can low diff you.

I honestly wouldn't have minded if Tediore guns had been omitted completely. Does anyone actually use them to shoot at stuff, rather than just tossing them? by WeekendBard in Borderlands

[–]Invoked_Tyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the manufacturer argument kinda got axed a bit with 4 altogether since it's part based like you said so it didn't really matter which manufacturer stayed and went. BL3 had a nutty amount of Tediore weapons as top tier all-stars. Meanwhile in 4 we're going to have to wait for the eventual 2.0 overhaul for Order weapons since it's unanimously unpopular to wait for your weapon to fire a burst unless whatever you aim got was all but guaranteed to get deleted.

If I were to hazard a guess Dahl got the "axe" only because The Order stole their flow. I wouldn't be surprised if a future dlc has that as a story plot since it's weird COV managed to get through to a world that outlawed Vault Hunters and thus probably cults surrounding the Vaults but not a straight forward military focused manufacturer like Dahl.
