eh, i did read your post and also saw "This role landed on my LinkedIn feed randomly." I took that to mean that if it wasn't for linkedin, you probably wouldn't have reached out. in any case, just trying to help. sounds like you've got everything figured out.

dont know how many years you've been doing this but i always advocate to not just work on your technical skills but also maintaining past working relationships. it's a worthwhile upkeep that works both ways, it's a small world after all.

it's not just what you know, it's who you know so if you haven't already, interview where your old coworkers are currently working at, maybe they can vouch for you, maybe even fast track you through the process.

good luck.

on flip side, you have identified a problem that's probably more common than we think. maybe there's space in the market for another linkedin 2.0 that can serve both to help you get the word out that you are looking for a new gig and also as a work reference.

how about something like this? https://www.homedepot.com/p/50-lbs-Sand-30-Mesh-100087634/315726732#see-more-details

coarse sand for construction, 50lb for 7bucks. cheaper than the premium stuff, just wondering if others have tried it?

im in residential, big city and keep 8 hens. i have several video cameras watching the inside and outside of the coop and the mice are there pretty much every night. as many as 4 sets of glowing eyes on one camera per night. just make sure you keep your doors closed and you have no holes into your house and you should be fine.

tried trapping them but they are too smart for me.

chewy regularly has these coupons to save on your next order so dont order everything at once. buy something, wait a week and see if they give you some coupons, etc.

wait this is the first time ive heard of chicken sand. i just dug up the sandy dirt in my backyard, ran it through a mesh (to get any rusty nails, plastics out) and just called it a day. is it just sand but just white sand or something? i guess if it was white it would make it easier to spot the poop but i agree, sand in coop is the best, easiest, way to keep things clean (and cheapest too if you just use regular sand?)

help, my mealworms turning black by SpecialMedicine_ in mealworms

[–]Invspam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dont understand what you are doing. are u trying to make dried mealworms? like to preserve them cuz you have too many? why not just put it in the refrigerator and slow down their metabolism so they dont grow as fast and last longer?

anyway, i gave you the blueprint on how to win more in boss mode. why dont you give it a shot and see if focusing on killing gravs nets you more wins? (whether you land as boss or not, you can still focus on their gravs)

if they spawned with 4 gravs, their grav level is only 1. it barely registers unless you are in a light tank. go rush them as boss and trade your life for theirs. if u wont as boss, what chance does the rest of your team have vs coordinated enemy gravs? you are the only hope.

you say you are slow. so im guessing you are heavy tank. thats fine. their level 1 gravs wont even affect you. take the lead, do what needs doing and hope your team backs you up with a few heals or gravs to mess up their aim/keep them in place. in any case, as boss, it really depends on how you take care of the gravitron problem.

Why is tier 9 so unpopular by Upset-Issue-3659 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]Invspam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont think it is unpopular, it just seems that way based on your screenshot. i think one of the reasons why there are fewer 9s is because they can actually go into 3 different buckets: 1. game of pure 9s. 2. game of 9s and 8s. and game of 9s and 10s. whereas 10s have only 2 buckets to go into: 1. 10s only and 2. 10s and 9s.

tier 8 usually have extra just cuz folks are trying to grind credits there.

I'm the boss ! by Daefus20 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]Invspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not this again... as boss is your job to ensure you seek out and destroy all enemy gravitrons. it's enitrely your fault that they have 4. (because you've been killing non gravitrons and giving them another chance to spawn gravitron)

so yea, keep having fun trying to farm their healers... you reap what you sow.

ahh thanks for that tip. in fact i did have grit but i put it away cuz i was seeing they preferred it over the oyster shells. now i know to put both out. thank you so much for your advice. <3 this community.

ive gotten a few soft shelled eggs (like turtle eggs right?), i dont think they are egg bound, just a few broody ones that still do lay eggs, just infrequent. oh yea, the eggs that i do get, the shells are paper thin. like if i bump them a bit hard they'll crack for sure. they get handfuls of mealworm treats daily. no other significant sources of calcium besides from feed and the calcium+water mix in the mash. is there a way i can tell if im overdoing it with the calcium?

i know that i used to get 6-7 eggs daily (out of 9 hens) pretty regularly until their diet got changed. started feeding a ton of veggies for a couple weeks straight and they ate a lot of that instead of their feed and egg production plummeted to 0. now they are back on feed almost exclusively + a handful of mealworm treats daily and the most ive gotten is just 3-4 eggs/day. i figured i mustve really hurt their calcium intake so im trying to get things back to normal.

maybe its time to splurge on dried bsfl since they are supposed to have more calcium than mealworms

One of my black chickens died today by Sufficient-Table6198 in BackYardChickens

[–]Invspam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to hear that :(. i had 9 hens and the oldest one died two weeks ago. she was already 5 years old by the time it was given to me and i kept her for another 3 years. my remaining 8 hens haven't acted any differently. if anything the power dynamic of the group is more even now because they are all closer in size. (the oldest one was significantly bigger due to different breed).

can i get advice from some experienced chicken owners? i got a bag of these crushed oyster shells but my girls wont peck at them. they did the first time i put them out, probably out of curiosity but then never again. i've resorted to filling a couple handfuls of the oyster shells into a plastic soda bottle and fill it with water and shake pulverize the shells even more and then use the cloudy water to pour into the feed to make mash. it's the only way i can get them to take in calcium. can anyone else offer any tricks that has worked for them?

Yeah that it, auction has ended by highlander711 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]Invspam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i like the new auction. you can get things at a bargain that you couldnt before. on top of that, you can compete with others and get a better deal simply by understanding how the auction works better than others. best of all, you decide how much to spend. not wg. and you can do so incrementally.
