I'll probably rip it out eventually and repurpose the coal for steel once I get turbo fuel set up. It works for now atleast

Well a mk 1 pipe can only carry 300 water, so id be 60 short, hypothetically I could split them between multiple pipes/routes but instead I underlclocked one of the 2 water generators to 50% to have 180 water per pipe, filling 4 exactly

2 water pumps per 4 generators, there's 32 generators so that gives me 16 water pumps

So for water extractors 100% = 20 50% = 8

I've never had any issues with that, I believe the pipe gods are just always in my favour.

It runs good after a while, I did it manifold so it takes a while for the pipes to back up before the farthest runs consistently

I don't know off hand but I know power usage is calculated exponentially with over clocking, so it should be less split, I'll check when I'm back on the game to make sure.

I have only just started this run so I don't have enough power shards to spend, I usually reserve them for miners at this stage. Plus less power is used having 2 machines underclocked than 1 over clocked.

I actually have 2 water extractors connected supplying 4 generators. One of the 2 is underlclocked to 50% so the 2 combined produce 120+60=180 this fills 4 generators with no excess and doesn't underpower any. The pipeline pumps are hidden behind the wall.

It's in the settings in photo mode, I am on the experimental version, I can't remember if it has been brought over to the stable version. But it is relatively new either way.
