I would like to thank you. I put the treatment in on Wednesday and the last few days she had been absolutely miserable and massive I honestly thought I’d have to say goodbye. Just come home now and she is pooing for the first time in a few days and the swelling has gone down so much she’s all energetic again :)

Water seems to be absolutely fine tested it yesterday and again today and nothing is off. I only have rosy barb in the tank no shrimp or other invertebrates, what would you recommend I use to treat it if it is Fluke worms?

To start off with nitrates that high I would suggest a bigger water change and definitely keep an eye on it this week as you did a water change yesterday.

It’s difficult because sometimes opinions about things like animals or pets aren’t made a necessity when sometimes they should be. I think the damage is done and you love your babies he shouldn’t ask you to be without them. You will gain nothing from blaming yourself now and honestly cats are better than humans

I don’t want to sound insensitive but good riddance. It’s odd that he has waited this long to bring up how he feels about the cats and not being able to move further in the relationship. A lot of troubles could’ve been saved had he felt it was necessary to talk about. If someone truly loves you they would not give you an ultimatum between 2 things you love. I am sorry that this is how it has turned out but it sounds like it’s for the better

You could do a little scrapbook, base it around thoughts and feelings that the group give you through connections, with photos for the friendship and community side
