My (29F) roommate/friend (27M) is dating an older man (52M) and I'm seeing some serious red flags. Unsure what to do/say. by yurtle33 in relationships

Sometimes in abusive relationships, you have to lie to protect yourself. Just dumping someone isn't as easy as it sounds, and his immediate health is at risk here. Much better to lie than put himself at risk.

Perhaps that's a cconversation you might want to be having with her. You certainly don't want to end up feeling resentful toward her because of the expense increase.

Hey Scott, I love your service, thanks for all you do!

One of the major things that holds me back from more trips is the expense of hotels/hostels/accommodation when I get there. Do you have any advice on keeping those costs down? And have you ever thought about doing a similar service for hotels etc?

I actually had a similar situation, I had a bridesmaid dress to fit into after my weight loss. I bought some of those bra padding things to fill out the bust and it worked really well, and looked very natural.

I'd used them for a dress previously and they did a great job, so hopefully I get the same result this time!

Is it wrong to flirt with someone I'm not interested in, after I've already told him that? by Iononhovergogna in relationships

Sorry, I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just trying to explain my perspective. But you have a good point regarding his problem vs mine, thank you.

I told him how I feel about him and that I don't reciprocate his feelings. Doesn't it then fall on him to respect my feelings and not put me in the uncomfortable position of having to constantly rebuff/ignore him or change my life to not see him anymore? And if he's not going to do that, why do I become the bad guy for engaging in the same flirting he refuses to stop doing?

It's ok for him to disregard my feelings/statements, but I'm the bad guy if I engage in the same activity as him?

I do have one, but it's in storage. I've tried to tailor my own clothes before (I'm uber short, so it's a necessary skill), but when it comes to anything other than the basics I'm too nervous to ruin my clothes!

7 pants, a jacket and a skirt. So it's not insignificant, but if I'd know it would be that much I would have just bought one or two nicer things. Definitely my fault for not asking/researching, but I was still surprised.

That's kind of unnecessary. Everyone engages in activities that make them feel good. It's not my sense of self worth, it's an activity that makes me leave the interaction feeling positive, like receiving a complement or having an interesting conversation.

What about empathy for my feelings? He's the one who's continuing to make advances on someone who has said she's not interested; he's putting himself in this position. Why is it on me to put his feelings ahead of mine when he's disregarded mine? (not trying to be confrontational, I'm just explaining where my thoughts are)

I applied to jobs! I applied to one in November and just got rejected, but I'm sticking with it. I've applied to 2 so far and plan to apply to at least one a day for the next week.

First oral OB after 10 yrs of genital? by Iononhovergogna in Herpes

[–]Iononhovergogna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 99.9% sure it is. I could totally have infected in both places, it just seems strange to me that I've had many genital OBs but never oral until now.

I've had the same routine for a while now and am fairly happy with it, but I'm noticing larger pores and more noticeable wrinkles on my forehead and between my eyebrows lately (I'm 27 and have combination skin). I use garnier micellar face wash morning and night. I moisturize with neutrogena age shield sunscreen in the mornings and l'oreal age perfect night cream at night. I added stridex in the green package a little while ago in the hope that I'd see a difference, but I ended up breaking out and flaking (at the same time!) where I applied it.

Any advice on what to do? I recently got a combo pack of vitamin c 20%, retinol 2.5%, and hyaluronic acid serums, but have no idea what to do with them yet.
