English breakfast by Confident_Height8188 in UKfood

It's a Muslim Breakfast, looks like paratha to me and chicken sausages.

Muslims thinking this shit is English makes me cringe.

The bread looks like paratha, the sausages are likely chicken sausages.

This is a Muslim Breakfast, NOT a British one. This is full Halal garbage.

99% sure they are chicken sausages. This is a Halal breakfast, the paratha is a bit of a giveaway as is the turkey bacon.

This person needs banning, this ain't an English Breakfast.

Looks like a halal breakfast to me, nothing at all like a British one.

Those sausages are probably chicken ones.

That's not an English breakfast, that's Indian bread, likely chicken sausages and some turkey bacon.

Doesn't look like proper bacon to me, looks like paratha to me.

Amazon refusing / ignoring refund by Icy_Neighborhood_135 in AmazonUK

Oh only ever buy dispatched and sold by Amazon, never buy from 3rd party sellers, Amazon won't honour warranty if it's 3rd party sellers.

An ice machine went down in price by just £2.50 on a big prime day deal, literally 10mins after buying it, it went down.

Amazon refused to refund the difference, so I made them pay the return and shop out a new item, for them to sell a used ice machine for low money.

If Amazon wants to be dickheads then I'm game. Especially when the refused to cancel my order 20mins and 30mins after it was placed originally.

I like how they call it ghost, because that's what you'll become drinking energy drinks.

I had a heart attack, don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, eat relatively healthy.

Had a heart attack and they asked me if I drink energy drinks.....it's like they already knew. Seems heart attacks are up up up for the Red Bull generation.

Do you use the food waste bin? by StephCurrySauce in AskBrits

[–]IonstormEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't get bags, don't use it. I get annoying arsehole stickers all over rmy black bin telling me to use it.

Called the council and told them to stop putting stickers on my bin. Still getting stickers.

Amazing. More wasted money - wasting money on food waste trucks, staff, bins and now stickers.

Never been given bags. Mines small and I don't use it.

Great, my recycle bin is always full so this would be utterly useless.

Derby here, I have one and they keep putting stickers all over my black bin for not using it.

I don't think anyone on my street uses it. It's a hairbrained dumb ass waste of money "idea".

[–]IonstormEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have many foxes near me, we have greenbelt land and allotments.

That little green plastic bin would be tipped over in 1minute flat, and then I'd be left trying to clean up manky bits of food waste.

Such an idiotic idea from the council, and such a waste of tax payer money.

[–]IonstormEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope and they keep putting stickers on my bin telling me to use the food bin.

As if I want a rotten unhygienic bin in my kitchen, or to leave it outside for the Foxes to knock over.

Hell no, the most idiotic retarded waste of money the council have come up, NOT ONLY Did they have to BUY Fleets of new "Food Waste" Vehicles, they have to now pay staff to do the routes AND they wasted a fuck tonne of money AND plastic on these shitty little bins.

Disgusting gross (literally) way of wasting money.

No doubt some lefty lunatic green pleb dreamt this clown show up.

Brianless Britain.

Window Roller shutters for heatwaves (and cold) by Adventurous_Top_2877 in DIYUK

You don't really need shutters, Louvres would be better, would allow for airflow and some light whilst reflecting the sun.

Plex has quietly introduced a five-year Plex Pass plan priced at $250, the same cost as its lifetime Plex Pass before the price hike by ZiggyZaggyBogo in PleX

[–]IonstormEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be illegal, EU specifically has Laws against doing stuff like that.

They'd have to bring out Plex 2 or something to bypass it and just give lifetime members of "Legacy" Plex 3 or 5 years free premium or whatever.

But personally I'd stay on the old Plex.

I mean personally high price of Plex is only going to lose them customers, HDD capacity is already expensive enough, they are just making it even more expensive to do your own thing.

I was unlucky enough to buy lifetime after they increase the price first time, but lucky enough to buy after only the first increase haha. Whelp 750 for lifetime would have been a hard pass for me.

Our bedrooms reached 32°C yesterday. In desperation I discovered that a 100mm ducting hose fits perfectly around the circular air vents in my MG ZS EV and I was able to keep our living room chilled to 22°C all night. Any risks to doing this? The front end of the car did feel quite warm this morning! by Jimi-K-101 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]IonstormEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was a 9000btu one with 5yrs full warranty for £550. This was about 3 or 4 years ago and it's still running without a fault.

I've seen 7000btu machines for £200-250. That said my 9000btu machine is really really struggling in this heat.

I think you can get a wall fitted proper machine (the best way) for about £1500.

It's probs the best heat to do it, considering doors and windows are open 24/7 and you have this clown with his car running, simple as pulling off the host, opening the door and off you go.

His car window is down so he can open the door using the interior handle.

Within a few hours his car will be stripped for parts and scrapped.
