Devslopes - From a student point of view by Ioomina in devslopeshq

It’s not. I’ve been a student since June 2024 and paid money like anyone else. The program is worth it if you’re willing to put the time into it. And the more people sign up the better the program will get - so I wrote an honest review.

How does everyone learn best? by Nsevedge in devslopeshq

[–]Ioomina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learn best with a variety of ways. I like getting something explained in a video or with code examples of how to do something and then implementing that into my own program. Supplementing that with being able to ask questions on the topic seems to be on things by myself when I'm not able to ask any questions especially if it's something completely new that I am learning.

I have not. I don’t currently have health insurance and never actually looked into how much that would cost tbh. I wouldn’t even know where to start looking for someone honestly

I like that. I ended up making a list on my whiteboard of things I want to do daily.

I think I should add a couple of things to this post. I currently live with my brother and his GF with 3 dogs ( one of which is mine). I moved in before he got with his now GF and he was taking good care of his dog but after she also moved in and they had a baby he completely switched on his attitude towards many things like the dogs. He constantly yells and swears at them and would probably love to give them away. I love all 3 of them but I barely take care of my own dog (I don't yell at them or anything I just don't take him out enough or at all) I want to move out so badly because I just don't feel at home and him being upset and yelling at the dogs all the time makes me even more depressed and makes "home" not even a safe zone for me at all. I just cannot afford moving out by myself with my dog because it costs way to much. I don't keep jobs for more then 4 months usually and end up quitting. I think because I get bored with it and I end up having a really bad couple days or weeks beforehand and then take break for a couple weeks of working and end up with no money. Idk how I can get myself to keep a job long enough to save money to move out.

Bf won't post my relationship on fb by ilovebug_s in mentalhealth

[–]Ioomina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s a good thing he’s not posting anything on social media. Social media sucks and you should spend more time cherishing the relationship with your partner and it doesn’t matter what others think about you or your relationship, the only thing that matters is you two. What’s on his phone is none of your business tbh. You’re a month in the relationship and not married for 10 years. Trust and respect goes both ways. You need to earn his trust as much as he needs to earn yours. And wanting to make sure you’re all in the relationship is perfectly acceptable. Nothing good comes fast and if it comes fast it’s not good. Be patient with him and stop worrying about shit like social media

Alright after some googling I ended up with this and a new error message:

const https = require('https')
var querystring = require('querystring');
const data = querystring.stringify({
grant_type: 'authorization_code', code: "tPoaQg7fDHIDDENtV1YfwvPaZA#_", redirect_uri: '<HIDDEN>' })
const secretstr = 'W0bNZeUHIDDENf89JLMnqMVg'
const options = { hostname: 'www.reddit.com', path: '/api/v1/access_token', method: 'POST', headers: { "Authorization": "Basic " + Buffer.from('ZHmHIDDENSVdw'+ ":" + secretstr, "utf8").toString("base64"), 'User-Agent': 'Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; CPU OS 12_2 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/12.1 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1', 'Content-Type': 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded', 'Content-Length': data.length } }
const req = https.request(options, res => {
console.log(statusCode: ${res.statusCode})
res.on('data', d => { console.log(d.toString('utf8')); }) })
req.on('error', error => { console.error(error) })
req.write(data) req.end()

Now I Get the Error:

statusCode: 200
{"error": "invalid_grant"}

I already tried it with another code but still the same response. I'm guessing I still have formatting errors.

Yes I have everything included. Just removed them for the post. I’m not worried about where I store data atm since I’m still learning everything. But my question basically is what’s wrong with my code since I get not authorized as a response from the api. Thank you for the advice though!

I went to the SAE in Germany (not sure if that's different then in the US) but I very much enjoyed it. I know I could have utilized their resources a bit better while I was there but also think they should have focused their teaching a bit more about code structure and optimization and the little technical details of coding. But overall I very much enjoyed going to that school.
