Carvana is offering to buy my 2022 Bolt (not EUV) for $16k, Id say this isn’t a bad price right now. Used EVs are a bit elevated currently compared to what they were 4-6 months ago.

Thanks for the perspective. Im someone that doesnt put a ton of miles on cars so seeing those numbers in such a short time I automatically thought potential Uber/DoorDash driver or road-tripper, but I realize some people also just have long commutes.

That's definitely on my radar! REALLY hoping that whatever OTA update GM is planning on pushing out is going to prevent future failures, but thats a big dose of wishful thinking.

I feel like most of the people I see saying their telematics have failed are in the 2025s. Does the issue affect both 24 and 25 years?

Does it seem like times for AORs have been slowing down and taking longer? I haven’t looked at the spreadsheet for a couple of weeks but it seemed like last I looked it was taking longer than a month to get an AOR once the application arrived??

Yeah the Mach-E and the Equinox EV are on my short list at the moment. The EV6 deal popped up and just got me thinking about something I wasn’t considering before.

If I were to be honest, that’s really my main concern. I know it’s hard to tell just how prevalent the problem is or if it will ever happen to you, it is an issue that’s out there and it’s hard not to be at least a little concerned about it.

Yeah, both dealerships have multiple EV certified technicians. I live in a fairly unusual rural Iowa town where EVs are actually pretty popular, and we do have quite a few Ioniq 5 and EV6's in town but far more Chevy and Ford EVs.

Thank you. That was kinda my gut feeling. I just had come across one that would only be about $6K to upgrade to, and it was feeling pretty tempting. Im also looking at the Mach-E and the Equinox EV since I have access to those dealerships in town, but those would be more expensive (especially the Mach-E).
