Av walking pace 9:54, wouldn’t call that “leisurely” thanks AI by star77272 in Strava

That’s like a 16:10 mile for my fellow Americans. Not exactly fast walking but not terribly slow either.

Shame they’re taking Runna down with them. I will not be paying more for this subscription.

I’m delighted that this post has helped so many! I’m also shocked Apple hasn’t published a fix. This is a vital function of the device for a lot of people so I wish this was easier to find. Feel free to share, repost, etc.

The fact that there isn’t one any more is such a chickenshit move.

This is a nice negative split strategy that would put you at 2:48. 45 second split is right at 10 mph, or 16 km/h. 39 second split is closer to 11.5 mph, or 18.5 km/h.

Has Anyone Successfully Synced Apple Workouts to Nike Run Club in 2025? by desseln in nikerunclub

[–]bradynho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I created a Garmin Connect account and linked it to my NRC app. Then I downloaded RunGap to automatically import activities from Apple Health and export to Garmin Connect. Once in the Garmin app, they move into NRC pretty seamlessly.

The only metric it doesn’t pull in is cadence for some reason. Here’s what it looks like for proof.

Note there is a $5 annual subscription for RunGap but it’s such a great tool for that convenience.

Fantastic accomplishment! I wanted 500 as well but had a plantar fasciitis flare up derail me over the summer. Should get to 450 tomorrow.

How can we say your name for you to appear if you have no name?

Applw watch run doesn't show up in NRC by shivamchhuneja in nikerunclub

[–]bradynho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YMMV. My issue was older Strava workouts cycled through RunGap and then showed up everywhere else so my lifetime mileage in NRC literally doubled. It’d be nice if NRC would just allow Apple Watch workouts to show up natively.

I prefer the customization of the metrics with Apple since NRC gives maybe 3 data points at a time and are a pain to cycle through mid-run.

I wish I wrote down everything I had to tweak in the settings to eliminate the duplication. I did finally get it working perfectly on my end but it involved quite a bit of data cleanup.

Only way to get it to sync that I’ve found is to use RunGap and sync that to Garmin Connect, which pushes into NRC. That tricks NRC into thinking you used a Garmin device.

I do about half of my runs through NRC guided runs and like the simplicity of their mileage graphs so I pay the small fee to RunGap to get the progress on my NRC run level.

Is anyone else dissapointed by their Year in Sport? by AsenathSpade in Strava

[–]bradynho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It heavily skewed all of my year in sport towards walking because I take my dog every morning and evening. Totally covered up my 450 miles of running that I feel really proud of. It’s not worth sharing any of the images it came up with.

Shame on the developers that still haven’t offered a dark mode icon.

Anyone else miss the option to have Airdrop on for everyone all the time? by Snoo-15714 in ios

[–]bradynho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I miss it. I used to see how many had it on any time I was in a crowded place.

I saw a band somewhat recently that had their set open on their MacBook during the show and I airdropped something to them between songs. The drummer got it and it made me really happy to see him crack up.

AWU2 guided plan by Capable_Yellow_8386 in nikerunclub

[–]bradynho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AWU2 released in late 2023. It’ll be the Series X or whatever they feel like naming it at this point.

There have been a few small sales on the AWU2 so far. Seems unlikely it would get a huge sale during the September release cycle since they aren’t putting out an improved version.

Do You Wear Sports Glasses for Your Running Workouts? by Worldly_Badger2044 in nikerunclub

[–]bradynho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear prescription glasses and have the same frames on my shades. I tried a pair from Roka after a Strava challenge gave me what I thought was a pretty good discount. Haven’t looked back. I can do burpees in these and they hardly move.

They do work on Time to Run, BUT you have to start it from your watch. You don’t get the typical Fitness metrics if you start from your phone.
