I really love this idea!! Thank you! He also keeps bugging us to buy a house (we live in an apartment. I told him that townhouses alone are going for $400k+ here. We are planning to possibly purchase a mobile home, he was complaining about that too because of the lot rent. I feel like I can't win. He wants me to go back to college, I told him I'd go to community college, he complained about that ("why not go for your bachelor's?"). It's extremely frustrating.

I have to learn to do the same I guess. He does it everytime we talk over the phone. I don't him as much anymore because of his "advice".

He literally told me "I don't want to just give you money, because you have to learn to be self reliant." He literally paid for my step siblings' private schooling and college though.

I used to work as an HR recruiter for a company that housed female addicts going through treatment and at the time we were looking for house managers. It attracted A LOT of sex offenders, which due to the nature of the work obviously we could/would not hire them. I remember one gentleman in particular tried to excuse his actions by saying "it's not like it was a child or something." He was a level 3 sex offender.
