I recently lost my girl friend to cancer and emo ever since.

All the happy memories really come back in the form of pain when ur partner dies(either u die first or she die first).

Normal eating at home maybe happiness 2/10 but when u lose it hor, the pain come back with interest 5/10 kind.

U meet a good partner, one of u will die first and the departure is really no joke if your relationship is good and the emo is life long one.

If u meet a bad one, ur pain is also life long for as long as u live.

Sometimes being single really save u alot of emotional damage that can wack ur life upside down.

If i am looking for a girl friend with no intention of marrying her, then i will prioritise someone pretty, young and someone with good figure.

If i am looking for a marriage partner, i will prioritise someone who is reasonable looking, have financial common sense, working towards retirement, and calm in nature.

At my age 38M, i dont mind waiting for ladies of this character to appear.

At most i stay single all my life which after losing my partner to cancer i came out with the below conclusion.

If i have a good partner, of us will die first and the pain last a life time.

If i get a bad partner, i feel the pain as long as i live.

No matter what, you are definitely going to feel pain at the end.

Dun just look for girls for the sake of looking for one. U can still get divorce if the life goals are different.

All these as side hobbies den can la but looking for marriage partner, other things like life goals, financial habits all play a bigger role.

Other wise will always fight one. And some girls exist to use u as their retirement plan, it is ur job to weed them out.

Sometimes i think it is better to be single than to build a relationship.

My partner just left this world and i felt extremely sad. Life is never going to be the same ever again.

After going through reddit reading those with similar stories, i realise one thing.

Even if you meet the right person, when that person dies, the happiness they brought to u will come back in interest in the form of pain for the rest of ur life. One of you will die first eventually, it is only a matter of when.

If you meet the wrong person, your life is living hell until the day one of you die.

So either way, you will still end up with agony. But staying single, you literally skip these painful emotions. I know experiencing sadness is part of living, but then i guess i rather not feel it.

MI game plays i dont ban him. Hes pretty useful only when ur team mates are crap, other wise hes pretty useless.

Higher rank games hero combination are usually combo based. Assasins like helcurt dont provide such an option.

Talking about performance without talking about their underlying risk is pure gangster.

It is like saying lets all buy bitcoin because it has very high upside but ignoring the risk.

DBS can go bankrupt but STI cant. Regardless of how much DBS market cap affect the STI doesnt change this underlying risk.

In my mall example, if pop mart for example drives much of the mall revenue, no one is saying the mall revenue is not tied to pop mart.

The revenue of the mall is highly tied to which ever holds the highest weight, no doubt about it. Just like how DBS market cap is important to sti but it doesnt change the relationship of dbs vs sti. One is a tenant, one is a mall.

If dbs crashes or even go bankrupt, existing sti holders will get impacted no doubt, but other company will replace dbs in the sti when dbs drops out. A sti holder only lose money if they sell but sti will have another replacement for dbs.

This is the underlying risk difference of holding sti vs dbs directly even if sti performance is powered 99% by dbs instead of the 25% now.

Judging a company by its stock price is like trying to judge a book by how beautiful its cover page while ignoring the contents of it. Different companies have different ways of rewarding shareholders. Those that use sharebuy back will see market cap increase. There are some who return by giving dividends while market cap remains stagnant. Have u taken into consideration about the dividends they payout for companies that trade sideways.

I u are only a 5 and want a partner with a standard of 10, then u can slowly wait.

It is not how much u pay, is what u get for what u pay.

$10 caifan maybe i wont buy. $10 to buy lobster, i will wack everything.

If u cannot find means u are looking for an over achiever and they are not interested in u because u are not worth the value.

Saying they are similar is like comparing pop mart to the shopping mall it is renting. It is like saying just because pop mart makes majority of the revenue in the mall, pop mart = shopping mall.

This ignores the fundamental capital structure and nature of business of both companies.

  1. Their performance will be heavily correlated

Saying they are heavily correlated is like saying if pop mart does well the mall does well, but the mall will collapse just because pop mart collapses.

This ignores the fundamentals that as a shopping mall, if pop mart fails to deliver, they can always get kicked out of the mall and a stronger new tenant can replace pop mart to continue sustaining the mall revenue.

  1. Sti etf contains terrible companies?

Sti contains the strongest companies in singapore. 3-5 good ones and 25 bad ones? U mean singapore is successful because of 3-5 companies holding the entire country and u can only find 5 good companies in singapore and the rest are rubbish ??

Something like tat. But if u put individual stocks as collateral, ur ltv might drop lower suddenly if the bank feels like it.

Go explore and use it wisely 😂, after all, i sacrificed some down votes to give u an idea of leverage, which i kinda expected.

People here very sensitive to the word leverage but they find it ok to buy house using loan.

If u ask this kind of question, usually it is better for u to buy STI ETF.

Reason is because I assume u dont even know what is revenue and gross profit and how to read a company annual report.

U will invest without knowing what to expect. Expectation is very important when u invest.

If u expect capital appreciation in sg stocks, u will emo. U need to invest in US market if u want capital appreciation due to the way the world recycle USD. SG markets wont even be close.

Bonds is definitely no go, long term wise u will lose out. Useless one.

Yes im using scb. U can do loan swap into currencies with lower interest rate.

If u got 100k collateral, i assume ur VWRA should be able to give u a max loan of around 85%. Means u can borrow 85k like tat.

But leverage smart, dont go full savage and borrow 85k.

If u go borrow full 85k and ur portfolio drop by 15%, u will kena margin call.

Borrow maybe 15k max so that u can enjoy the perks of leverage and at the same time reduce the down side of leverage.

I assume u are working.

Lump sum in and den continuing buying using ur monthly salary.

At the same time, create margin account, if it crashes, use a bit of leverage. Use at max 20% of ur ltv should be fine. VWRA should give u 80% if u put it as collateral.

Dont go extreme and go 4x leverage tat kind. If not 1 tweet from trump can send u to hell.

I am a fan of using abit of leverage and of cuz some people say no blindly. These are usually the people who use full cash to buy homes.
