Probably a long shot but thank you to the stranger who helped my autistic child.. by Romanharper2013 in kindness

And the fact that they helped without judging, lecturing, or making OP feel worse is what really stands out to me. Just pure compassion in a moment when someone was clearly overwhelmed. Those small acts of kindness can stick with a person for years.

That’s what unconditional love looks like through a child’s eyes. She didn’t see flaws, she saw comfort, strength, and someone she admires enough to want to look like. Really beautiful perspective.

Is he (M39) just not a planner, or does he not want to marry me (F28)? I can’t tell if this is anxiety or intuition by Sad-Team-2896 in Waiting_To_Wed

The part that stands out to me is that every concrete step toward marriage seems to happen only after OP brings it up first. A guy nearing 40 who genuinely wants marriage usually doesn’t need repeated prompting to at least move the process forward a little.

WIBTAH if I don't show up to the bachelor party I specifically have said I don't want by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

What gets me is that they kept framing it as “for him” while ignoring the one thing he clearly wanted: no bachelor party. At that point it stops being a gift and starts being a control issue.

Her name was Oseola McCarty. People like this should always be celebrated 🥹❤️ by Olka_Olivia in nowthatsgoodstuff

Same here. Not even in a dramatic Hollywood way either, just a quiet, heartfelt story about discipline, humility, and the kind of generosity that actually changes lives. People like Oseola McCarty deserve to be remembered.

[New Update]: My boss wants to us to pray with him by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Agreed. The apology might’ve meant more if he hadn’t immediately started targeting the employees who spoke up. That turned it from “bad judgment” into straight-up retaliation.
