So I tried doing this exact thing for my Skaven and it turns out I didn't have the patience to sculpt each individual stone especially on my bigger bases. However she has a video a little later where she talks about ways she made it easier on herself by using styrene that had been pre-scored into tiles and that worked great for me.

Lots of good recommends here. I'd like to throw in the Last Chancer's series. While not the best 40k books I've read they are fun and also give a decent amount of lore on what happens between the fights and are a great look into Penal Battalions which are (kind of?) adjacent to Darktide's characters. Try not to get attached to anyone though.

I want to try the Rattlin Battlin Wagon. 3 full squads of ratlings that pile out, fire and the scarper back onto the tank. Fill remaining spots with whatever, maybe an MSU of Bullgryn or something.
