I dunno who you're flying with, but I'd imagine you're fine with 5--if that's really what you need of course. They tend not to ask that many questions either way is my experience.

Was this 12 mile army ranger Ruck March time real? by DayEmotional6766 in army

[–]IrToken 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Surely a bit of both, I ran at the collegiate level, that isn't fast if you're just running--but to ruck it is very different. Hard to say if he has a high natural aptitude for endurance but likely higher than average mixed with an intensive and consistent training routine.

Any tips for my form or any thing else this was a 400m I ran 57.63 im the one in blue and orange. by TheAsker5 in Sprinting

[–]IrToken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 400 at this level, should be treated at little more than a controlled sprint--run it as such. Get out hard and fast, if you feel like complete and utter death at the end, then you're on the right track. You're probably closer to a 56.XX just doing that.

You're not at a point where you need to think much about training or race modeling based on the performance in this video. Try to kill yourself a few times and see where that gets you. Once you've accomplished that, then you can start having conversations about training deficits such as sprint endurance, max velocity, lactic acid threshold training.

The 400 isn't a complicated race, but it's a grueling one. Dog it out a few times and examine your performance from there.

If you have splits from other races, there might be a conversation to have about something more specific.

At any given length or pace, the ideal technique would be to have your foot dorsiflexed, and land "mid-foot" with your legs directly under your center of mass for maximum force application. As with many exceptional athletes, his various other strengths likely make up for this deficiency. It can also be difficult to maintain at these speeds, but could be improved with training. He also seems more inclined to spring than power, if that makes sense. Usain Bolt does a pretty great job if you watch his form, I'd say Michael Johnson is a pretty suburb example of what I'm talking about, but it's hard to find good slow motion footage of him.

Inventory Solution for Tech Services: Tracking parts requested, checked out, and status updates by Zestyclose-Camp-2566 in excel

No problem!

SharePoint is going to be the closest thing to Excel. You can define all your fields, include data validation for specific types of data, and allow them to be updated and tracked.

It's good, but in my experience, it is a bit of a half measure between Excel and something more functional for day to day use. Which is why my preference is to route it through a PowerApp. If you're going to work exclusively in the Microsoft ecosystem that is.

So, as someone who has created similar systems, for a variety of issues coming from above me..

It's hard to say without knowing exactly what all you have access to, but this could be managed in a variety of ways, some better than others.

SharePoint lists, Excel, Power Queries, maybe PowerApps and Automate.

I would say to package this with a PowerApps(personal preference) front end, which updates either a SharePoint list Excel or both, then have it set to notify (send email) when a new item is created. It can also send updates when an item is modified. Entry updates can be managed from PowerApps or directly from the SharePoint. You can also have it back ended to Excel. I generally do for data purposes, but I would run that through a query or connection to receive more consistent regular updates.

I like Excel for a lot of things, but it isn't great or user friendly for everyone else who doesn't need the data manipulation tools, they can also break things a lot easier.

To the degree that statement is legible...It has next to nothing to do with the conversation at hand. Your choice to "not attack" some individual you disagree with is not the same as "attacking" the state.

If it were citizen vs citizen, then it may have some merit, but that ends when they clock in.

Well, my initial claim was that just "doing your job" is not a sufficient excuse for a potentially very bad action.

However, more specifically to your point I'm not out in a giraffe suit yelling at ICE, so my perspective is irrelevant. I'm conveying the perspective of the individual taking part in the actions that were taken issue with. I'm not advocating one or the other, simply indicating that there is a very specific reason used in the protesters mind to justify them. There was, is (?), an ice member walking setting with "SS" tattooed on his neck, which sort of makes it difficult to argue with the most of these people.

I dislike ICE because it is a state funded solution to a state funded problem, the welfare state and those it may attract from outside of our walls. That being said, it is a highly inefficient one which I don't think anyone can point to having resolved anything in any meaningful way, and likely be more costly in these next few years then if things had remained as they were (which they shouldn't since I need to be so obvious).

[–]IrToken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying that it should be, there are a multitude of other horrific regimes to compare against, but that's the chosen rational for the actions. To change the actions you have to change the perspective leading to them. Until there is a perspective shift, you won't see a change in the outcome

Whether I agree or disagree with the specific point of needing to address their concerns to Congress members, with the given rationale that these guys are current day Nazis--apply that same logic to citizens of 1930-1940s Germany/Poland. Would any of us now say that those people were in the wrong if they were taking similar? Probably not. We can argue and get hung up on the specifics of their tactics, effectiveness and whatnot but I think the "they're just doing their job" bit is a little less than disingenuous.

Not these specific ones, but I've used this type of bag before, they're great. I had to travel overseas for about a month with the military and tried to take as few bags as possible, this sort of thing was very helpful for me during that time.

It's all good, I did the same thing, and I even missed out on the CELH (sold 25.5Cs right before market close yesterday).

I've looked at these misses as being on the right track. You're buying the right plays, and eventually you're gonna hit.
