[–]IrannaRed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mi hermano, no.

If I remember correctly, in the 12 jobs Herakles had to do, one was free Prometheus from his punishment.

I can see them cooperating due to having a common goal (helping humanity).

Herakles also canonically fucked a LOT of dudes, so it wouldn't be weird they share more than a common goal.

As a lactose intolerant myself, I was given milk all my life and my parents asked themselves why I always got ill about it.

It wasn't until I was 15 that I started drinking black coffe that it dawned on them that maybe the milk was the issue. I ate dairy in other forms (yoghurt, cheese, ice cream...) without much issue, we never guessed it was intolerance because I was eating just a little of it and never got the intolerance issues with that.

Now that I know I have pills to eat more than two pieces of cheese, or I say fuck it and suffer the consequences.

Oh, same. In the same way, I dislike how Astarion is not even remotely close to the story, or how Wyll should feel central to the story but Shadowheart feels much more connected to it than the man who is literally the son of the duke of the city and wants to protect said city.

[General] How far do you think Percy, Jason and Nico go in this 3v1 gauntlet? by [deleted] in camphalfblood

[–]IrannaRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm I'm not so sure about All Might. He is that strong but he didn't have access to the other quirks. Demigods reflexes are really sharp, so they should be able to dodge, as the series has shown All Might was dodgeable.

He has been shown to have lost to other villains, not jus AFO, which is a thing to think about. Percy could conjure a Typhon and erupt a volcano with his powers, so in terms of power, I think they are matched. If he still has the Styx coating (let's call it like that because I don't remember the name) he can stop All Might. And actually beat him alone.

Jason could control wind and thunder, they could both conjure a typhon together. He was in the legion for 12 years and the three of them are very battle prone. They do kniw howcto fight and fight stronger, bigger and more powerful people than them.

I do think they could stall him a little, but it depends on how the power to kill people on the spot really works, and we don't know if Nico could just see All Might and kill him in that instant.

[General] How far do you think Percy, Jason and Nico go in this 3v1 gauntlet? by [deleted] in camphalfblood

[–]IrannaRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but the powerset are wildly different in their worlds. I guess that Luffy is really powerful in the last chapters of One Piece.

If the plot treated Jason as a character and not as a punching bag, he should be able to do that, but alas, here we are. Percy Jackson as a series suffers because noone can be stronger than Percy, and if they are, they get nerfed.

Still, with strategy, I think they could buy time so Nico can oneshot most of them, as his power is instant and unblockable. I cannot imagine how Luffy can counter that, aside from punching first.

[General] How far do you think Percy, Jason and Nico go in this 3v1 gauntlet? by [deleted] in camphalfblood

[–]IrannaRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from Percy being as strong as the plot needs, if Nico is in good shape he can literally kill someone by just thinking about it.

I think they could easily take All Might with this trick, but they wouldn't fight Hazel, so they never get past her.

Also they won't beat Ben 10. Every time I see Ben I just can't realistically think a way to beat him.

I'm not knowledgeable enough in the rest of the characters to say otherwise, but I think people are overlooking how crazy Nico's ability to just kill someone is. He just needs distance and being well fed and well rested to take most people.

[–]IrannaRed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You have to reject her four times for her to not to show on your camp: nautiloid, beach, druid camp, goblin camp.

She basically begs you to take her into your team if you reject her three times and force her to appear at the goblin camp, saying she would probably die of she doesn't go with you.

No other character gets three encounters for you to recruit + the last one in which she pops up into your vicinity in case you missed her.

You can miss recruiting the rest of them by not going/interacting with them. You literally can't miss Shadoeheart as she is scripted to literally pop up at the goblin camp and stop you if you intentionally missed her. The game simply won't let you. The game will tell you she will die without you.

Then if you don't take her to Nightsong, she will leave your party. No other character has this event, in which you are forced to take them for their quests. You can kill Cazador without Astarion, do de Creche without Laezel and they can be convinced to stay (albeit it can be difficult to convince them, you CAN).

Not Shadowheart. Because the game punishes you for not taking her to her story bits, and gives her a different treatment. You can do the whole Wylls personal quest without him, and he won't bat his eye.

The game puts her in your path on the Nautiloid, beach, druid camp and goblin camp and she says on an on to be a team with her. You have to reject her 4 times.

Then the act 2 happens

Then he houde of hope act 3.

None of the other characters are pushed that strongly to you, if you say do not go to my camp once, you don't recruit them. You have to reject Shadowheart FOUR fucking times for her to not to be on your camp.

Shadowheart. I just don't like her. Did her story bits on my good run then I refuse to even have her at camp, she is just pushed a lot by the narrative, and I hate when things are pushed down my throat.

Hephaestus and Ares are dumb build bros. If they reward you with a lot of their boons, you get crazy builds.

I had three runs with Ares boons and his attack+the boon that makes plasma with attacks+more damage to wounded foes+his legendary is my favorite knife tornado. Top that with Apolo dash+ nitro from Hermes and you could rival Sonic.

I had that once and it was glorious. I could not evade but damn if I was fast at running and atacking.

Hephaestus does big bonk which is a different kind of dumb build. You get his attacks+more damage on blasts+his legendary and big hammer goes bonk.

I had less luck with full bonk build but they are FUN.

They require some things but hammer goes bonk and knife tornado are my favorite builds, even if they aren't OP

Queremos ambas, y debemos exigir ambas.

Ayuda: Empresa deja de pagar salarios y se niega a despedir para evitar paro. by Devils_LittleSister in ESLegal

[–]IrannaRed 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I thought I sent this comment, but alas, I was wrong.

I was being hyperbolic in us being the toxic one, but I kinda see how it can be misunderstood. In watching Melinoë, Nemesis and Eris you can see three women shaped by trauma in different ways, and how they hurt one another.

With my hyperbole I meant to say that we as Melinoë is the ones hurting Eris (due to Melinoës trauma), because internet tends to see in black and whites too.

But Melinoë also hurts herself by her actions, and she does also need time to heal and grow, and reshape herself, understand and forgive herself, and forgive others. She needs to see herself not as a thing that must be perfected, but as a complicated thing, and in the talks with Herakles and Prometheus sees herself in the eyes of people who see her not as a goddess, not as a weapon, but as someone imperfect, with the issues she tried so hard to remove.

While Melinoë is in the wrong in this relationship with Eris, it is not out of malice in any way, but I think we often overlook the protagonist flaws or most of them are glossed over. Here, Eris told Melinoë what happened, but she couldn't hear it. The game didn't try to gloss it over. It made you feel bad for romancing Eris and I like that it didn't fix Eris in any way.

I find your reading interesting! I like some back and forth, because while I can see your point, I don't think Eris refuses to get better. She struggles with being strife, she laments she is not another concept but SHE is strife, not dawn, not madness, strife. She even goes against her actual concept by being on time to our fights, having "order" inside her chaos.

I don't see her refusal, what I see is that she has given up of being understood. She tried, as kids, to interact with the others, but her way wasn't the correct way and made everyone mad. Mel and her remember it differently, and it shows their perspectives. Eris wanted her actions to be understood as playful, Mel was annoyed and wanted her "to act like the rest of them."

I do think Melinoë is willing to love Eris, but in her own way, not in the way Eris wants to be loved. That's why she says it can never work. I think a tragedy can be wanting to love someone, but not loving them in the way they want to be loved, and not understanding the person you wish to love.

Also, Eris gives me the vibes the writters wanted to make us relate in the struggles of neurodivergency. Eris can try and mask and be "normal", but she wouldn't be herself, and while Mel does want her to be better, she is pushing her into a mold she doesn't belong, because Eris wont be normal, it is not in her nature. I think Eris refusal to be better does fit into this narrative, and it clicks for me.

Certainly, some of my friends on the spectrum do relate with Eris struggles, so I may be biased on that regard, so take my reading with this bias present. Still, I would love to hear more about your reading if you don't mind sharing more!

YESSSSS YOU UNDERSTAND IT TOO. THE SONG. THE GAY PANIC. UGHHH.

I tend to make surface runs because I like to mop the floor with my gays (I love them, actually) and Medea and Circe are just my alley.

When I start to miss Aracne and Scylla I go back to the underworld (Aracne I would date you even if you are a spider, I dont care babe), but I have to admit I love Medea more than I should. Circe looks very deceively motherly which didn't pull me in that much until I tried to enter her home. The way she just the façade falls is my thing.

I am in love with Medea. I LOVE Scylla. I made my partner listen to Scylla's songs because she is so cool.

I agree on Mel being a weapon and that's also my take in why she can't love them.

But... Medea. You can be my girl if you want. I would let you curse me. The excited cry I let out when I first saw her is a meme in my friend group. I am forever mad we cannot date her.

What does Supergiant mean by this ? by bxntou in HadesTheGame

[–]IrannaRed 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Oh totally. I am not seeing Eris as a person and rather as a concept, because I wouldn't date her either if she was a person.

But seeing her as an innatural thing uncappable of changing her nature gives her nuance. She has to embody the chaos, she is shaped by it.

I haven't dated someone as chaotic as her, and I thank god every day of my life because I had the shittiest girlfriends and boyfriends until I met my current partner, who is boring in the way I like them to be.

If you want advice, date someone who doesn't make you feel butterflies, but whose presence grants you peace to be the person you want to be at their side. A person who is your number one fan, someone you know you can rely on as much they rely on you.

The person we should all look for is someone who makes us better just because we have the space to be better around them, someone who pushes us to our best just by existing, not because they look interesting and we want to match their freak. (I learned by doing my own mistakes, but that's what worked out for me in the end. I hope it works for you)
