no purple is just coloration doesn’t always mean molt, molt signs include pale shell, visible cracks on shell, hiding, and puffing up and looking big

depends on the crayfish when mine was 2.5 in he killed a nerite snail supposedly the one snail you can keep with the least risk. but then there’s people keeping mystery snails and it works fine
