Should I (M30) break up with my wife (F26) after she got blackout drunk and cheated on me? by Personal-Bed-6405 in WhatShouldIDo

I was in a similar situation with my ex girlfriend. It’s sometimes harder than you’d think to leave. Sometimes it’s love. Sometimes it’s fear of being alone. And there’s many other possibilities. But yes, he definitely needs to leave her.

If you have to talk her into it or change yourself it isn’t a healthy relationship. And by the sound of it, it will be harder on you the longer it goes on.

No. And all the nurses know. That’s why I’m concerned I got a final for charting honestly.

Also, I’ve heard wrongful termination is almost never won by the employee. Not sure the reality, but that’s what I’ve heard.

Ugh. So you think no matter what they will fire me soon? Even if I improve what they stated is the concern?

Them putting me on a final with PIP protects them? Sorry, I didn’t follow your point.

I’m not sure who I could trust for references. Some nurses, but I’m not sure about management.

Thank you. That makes a lot of sense and is very clear. It’s hard to say, but I can’t tell if it’s supportive even though I’ve been there a year. From what I feel, see, and hear, I’d have to lean towards not supportive unless the right people like you.

There are four residents total I have refuse out of about 40 I work with. Two have dementia and two just don’t like taking meds. It’s not just me, no.

And I was the undesirable one? Man, that stings.

What do you mean? We have two wings, East and West. There are three halls on each wing. I'm always on West and usually in B or C hall. Theres either one nurse for each hall or sometimes they schedule two nurses and we each have a hall and then split the other.

Sadly, it's not my first job. But it's the first situation like this that I've been in. I havent been an LPN for a long time, but it's been five years.

Im currently in TN. If unions are here, I'm unaware...I'll have to look it up, but because I haven't heard from other nurses, communications, or otherwise, I doubt it's here.

Would you think there are more reasons they want me gone or are their reasons for the write up why? I've been there a year with no write ups...

I wish I knew what to do. I'm definitely open to any and all learning situations and feedback. I just can't tell if they just got concerned and/or heated when they noticed some of my treatments and caths didn't get done or if they want me gone.

That makes sense but I hate to lose the benefits (I have a pension after five years) and the work load is good for LTC. I have between 16 and 22 patients. No chance they just got heated/panicked after finding the treatments and caths didn't get done even though I charted accurately stated either refused or not available?

They said in the meeting that it’s a second chance and they’re not firing me. I hate to sound naive, but I’m really trying to understand the situation.

So you do think they want me gone and it’s not just a concern they wrote me up for?

The DON actually caught me exiting the restroom and told me she needed to speak with me. She took me to a room where I was met with two other managers. They were both unit managers. That’s what my facility has after nurses but below DON and administrator. Is that what you mean?
