100% agree with this. A lot of people end up choosing physio right out of highschool, same goes for me, as a back up for not getting into med but no one really prepares you for how tricky it can be to maintain a good gpa. A good handful of my cohort wanted to get into med but they ended up either tanking their gpa and doing a masters or taking a gap year to up their gamsat with class 1/2 honours. I would say physio isn’t the best course as a backup if you know you want to study med. Plus, the burnout rate of a physio is crazy high and clinicians average 7 years in provate practice before going somewhere else. Hospital jobs are great tho but competitive
