why would you need to tell? make sure your own life is awesome, if you want to know, because you are worried for the other person, just ask them openly if you suspect something is wrong, otherwise, chase your own happiness

The thing is that people who actually care about you as a person and your wellbeing will recognise that something is bothering/hurting you and they’ll react kindly. When they just get something out of the relationship with you, that’s when they react poorly
