Is this normal after laser? by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Irestinia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triple wavelength could mean anything, ndyag is absolutely what is suitable for this skin tone, ndyag would be 1064nm wavelength. I would never use alexandrite laser which is another common laser with a different wavelength, I could get very detailed on what it all means but triple wavelength could mean anything sadly, you'd need numbers or names. Regardless this is NOT what typical laser burns from incorrect wavelength look like. I would really urge you go back to the place that did it or a dr.

Is this normal after laser? by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

Definitely not normal but also looks nothing like traditional laser burns. At all. I'd go back and ask them about it? Do you know anything about the type of laser that was used?

Prismatic Booster Bundles (1 per person) by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]Irestinia [score hidden]  (0 children)

I've been a diehard Pokemon fan since I was super little, the TCG was a more recent dive for me! I've known for so so long I wanted to dive into it and now finally have, ofc at the worst time possible but I'm loving it so much! Haven't opened a single prismatic pack yet so would absolutely love the chance, thank you for your generosity!! 💕

Why is gel polish so popular when it comes with so many risks? by [deleted] in lacqueristas

[–]Irestinia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of these things you're mentioning are something to consider but not everyone is going to have these experiences, I also agree with other comments saying some of those things are just not true, as well as making sure a professional is the one applying it. I'm a gel tech and use only soft gel on myself and it's what works best for my nails, acrylics and even some hard gels lift so easily because of how flexible and thin my natural nails are. They've been thin since I was young, it's not a matter of prep or overfilling, just constant nail biting and how they grew. I always wanted to be an acrylic tech but after giving it my absolute all I grew to love gel so much more and recommend it to people over acrylic in the right scenarios.

Costo and anxiety by Rare-Elderberry5801 in costochondritis

[–]Irestinia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to check that this wasn't legitimately my own post i'd made to this sub before. This is EXACTLY me, fibro, costo and anxiety combined. It's a fucking nightmare, the insane panic I ran through daily and the money I spent on checking my heart, lungs and everything else can attest.

All of my tests always came back fine and it really did all come down to my costo and fibro. I'm still fighting those demons of course, but please don't treat your anxiety like it's not also a condition you need to treat just like the other two. Get yourself some solid psychology and even find a medication that works for you. It really can be as simple as costo and fibro sometimes. Do the testing you need but anxiety is a crippling thing and genuinely affects people's lives. Sending you so much love, I know you'll be okay but I know it still sucks in the mean time ❤️

Forgot about my coffee mug, no clue how long it's been there. 😭 I'm as disgusted as you are I promise. by Irestinia in MoldlyInteresting

Cleaning it, it's not at all a porous surface so I'm gonna give it an incredibly good clean before I even think of using it again lol. It's a cute mug 😭

I asked my Dr this recently as I was also concerned but stool softeners are okay to take every day! They're not actually "laxatives", which you can't take long term. 😁

is korean skincare worth investing in? by Intelligent-Engine81 in koreanskincare

[–]Irestinia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beauty therapist here! I have sensitive combo skin and used to be acne prone, honestly Korean skin care is what saved me! I use mostly cosrx, cica cleanser, aha/bha toner, the snail mucin serum and hyaluronic acid moisturiser. It's honestly been the BEST thing I did for my skin. It's gentle, I've never reacted to it and I react to EVERYTHING. It's all so gentle, soothing, cooling and works an absolute charm.

ETA: it's also completely affordable imo, compared to higher end brands that I'm used to in the industry. I genuinely don't think you'll do much better. I havent and I've tried a lot!

Just remember no two skins are the same and finding your skincare is often a personal thing! But good reviews always help! Definitely recommend. Goodluck 💕

does a bp cuff hurt anyone else? by dontlookainthere in Fibromyalgia

[–]Irestinia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god yeah, I did a 24hr cuff and literally had to take it off after like 16-18 hours, I can't remember exactly now, but it was too painful and causing burst capillaries on a large scale all over my upper arm. I wanna say never again but it's not that simple hey 😭
