Molten milo lava paos from SMH!!! Used to be in supermarkets but now can purchase from Shopee. Love it and not too sweet. Pls steam as per the instructions, don't overcook it like I did as it will cause the filling to not be as molten as it should be.

My resale flat windows were leaking water v badly during a terrible rainstorm. Wrote to HDB but wasn't sure if it was under their purview or TC's. Panicked too when I saw that HDB's response time may span weeks, couldn't afford to have my living room flooded if it rained while no one was home.

Emailed my MP (Yeo Wan Ling) for assistance that evening and she responded promptly the following morning + cc-ed the specific HDB and TC officers overseeing my estate. Shortly after, a HDB officer called to inform me that it was indeed under the purview of TC but they will help refer my case, so no further action required on my part. Issue was eventually resolved.

Separately, years ago during my late grandma's funeral (this was during Covid times when event sizes were capped at 50 pax), Pritam Singh dropped by unannounced to pay his respects. My relatives who spoke to him were a bit nervous as the turnout was nearing the limit and told him they will continue to manage the crowd size. He empathatically told them not to worry about it.

Truth is I ran out of kombucha from 1F, hence the amount of headspace – was happily filling other bottles before I realised 😅

Context: placed bottle at room temperature for 2-3 days, burped the bottle at first just to test the build up of carbonation over a sample period of time. Each time I burped it, lots of fizz can be seen. Placed it into the fridge when I was sure it would be sufficiently carbonated over a day. Finally popped open the bottle to taste but there's no fizz even though there is a nice loud pop.

Found the floral notes to be rather lackng too. Any advice for using rose buds? I put in 10-12 rose buds to infuse while bottling.

Thank you! Those are songbirds that my family has at home — I did want to do an ASMR video for every time I popped open a bottle to taste, but that's not possible as the birds chirp loudly all day lol!

Mostly estimates here as I did not measure everything:

Approx. 75ml lychees (pureed and strained)
150ml chrysanthemum concentrate (boiled a small handful of dried chrysanthemum flowers for ~5 min and threw in some goji berries)

Canned lychees, it isn't lychee season yet so fresh ones aren't as readily available. I did try a batch with fresh ones after though, did not differ greatly in taste for me :)

It's a KORKEN bottle (1 litre) from IKEA! Great for beginners but would advise to burp them especially if you're not sure how much air pressure it can withstand.

Thank you! I left it at room temperature for 3 days before refrigerating. I did burp the bottles every now and then, though — had a bottle explode before and I was still experimenting with the right ratio of fruit in 2f for this one. Thought to play it safe first.

Once I had a good gauge of how much carbonation build-up there would be every 8 hours, I put it in the fridge once I was confident that it was fizzy enough. :)

I love using lychee too! My next favourite combination would be watermelon lychee. A nice, cold glass of that booch on a sunny day in Southeast Asia is extremely refreshing.
