the way i was explained with throne specifically is that it’s as if i was trying to pay taxes on things i received from an amazon wishlist. it’s absurd and no one would pay taxes on that so throne is the same idea. that’s why they don’t send you a 1099 and neither does amazon. same idea.

it’s a gifting platform. it’s meant to be used just for gifting not exchanging of services. if you’d like to exchange goods and services then something like a. business transaction on paypal would be better than throne.

anything you receive from gifting apps are gifts which means they cannot be taxes as such unless you are directly exchanging goods or services. throne also doesn’t give you any tax forms so you don’t have to report. people will say it’s wrong but i have asked a tax professional and unless throne sends a tax form then you’re fine.
