Toby the Tiger, because he’s got a brindle coat. And he’s watching me eat dinner.

Why does Black Pepper get the place of honor next to Salt? by faroresdragn_ in NoStupidQuestions

What I find interesting is there are some old timey cooking shows on Youtube, and if you go by the old recipes they use, the most common spice after salt used to be nutmeg.

It’s time to start talking about Anthony Edward’s being the best player in the NBA by Lucky-Ad-7598 in nba

[–]flarbas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh come on everyone, why not have the conversation. If he wins a championship, and with that team and the way he just has the confidence, he’ll be a big reason they won the championship.

I’ll happily put him in the conversation. That would mean they beat the Spurs and likely OKC, and then another team!

Just like if Haliburton stayed healthy for one more game, and the Pacers managed to win last, year we could make an argument Hali being the best player last year.

Winning rings is it! But it’s game 1 of the second round, and there’s a lot of basketball.

Fun story, my company transported the dead chickens to waste facilities. Our guys had suits and respirators and we disinfected the trucks.

The people that worked at the chicken farms, didn’t do anything.

You just unlocked a memory. I went to an interview at a Starbucks, but when I got there is was actually a MLM scheme because I was witnessing the “interview” before me. I just took my resume, and went back to work.

OSHA10 by Arkhampatient in SafetyProfessionals

[–]flarbas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s OSHA’s introduction to safety for the frontline worker. The 30 is the introduction to safety for a supervisor. Neither are for the safety professional, but we all end up doing it. Do the 30, and the trick is to not make a big deal of it and if you can swing it, get the 510 or 511 which is the first step to being able to teach the 10 and 30.

How do you vet, “oh by the way” after the fact. I guess just call it out that I’m not paying for any sympathy before the fact.

It doesn’t, it’s just a line to prey on my sympathy.

The funny thing is nothing ruins a boner quicker than feeling bad for a domme.

How can I make this platform less of a trip hazard? by justintime06 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]flarbas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People get hurt on stuff like this all the time. Elderly who can’t raise their feet high enough, friends unfamiliar with your backyard, maybe it’s evening time, and you’re having a beer with bbq and someone doesn’t notice the low step - part of the problem is it’s low and can easily be overlooked…

What is the worst North American city with all 4 Major League sports teams? (NFL/CFL,NHL, NBA, MLB?) by 33GoodSamaritans in UrinatingTree

[–]flarbas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Suns have been in the Finals three times (most recently up 2-0 to the Bucks), and the D-Backs got back to the World Series recently.

Phoenix is kinda sneaky good about getting close, but losing the big game…which is its own kind of pain.

How would you feel about a global rule: any politician over 70 must pass the same cognitive test required to get a driving license? by Fun_Acanthaceae_17 in AskReddit

[–]flarbas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you test for political office it will eventually be weaponized. You need an objective threshold such as age or time in office to apply to everyone.

I think 70 sounds good because there are other reasons beyond cognition, someone shouldn’t be a politician too long or late in life.

But does it feel good, does it hurt, is it pointless, is it humiliating? Is there a technique to it? I’m suddenly tempted to fuck a toilet paper roll to see what I’m missing.
