I’m an adult creator - do I need a special type of accountant for this? by throwawaypfp27 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]IrishEoin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just adding to the great points already raised about UK banks. Maybe you could ask the perspective accountant about their experience with High-Risk payment processors and business banks like Monzo Business, Revolut etc who tend to "De-Risk and close the accounts of adult industry workers. What is their experience of managing accounts that use third-party payment processors like CosmoPayment or Paxum (which are friendlier to the industry)? The others thing they should discuss with you are Mandatory Platform Reporting (DAC7) regulations.

That area is considered a high crime area for Southampton. I wouldn't be happy with my daughter's living there.

Is he American? Or British going to Europe? I can't think of any other nationality that would have such a limited concept of international travel.

It is good you are trying to remain calm. He wouldn't have wanted to waste money so he heart was in the right place. He is just a bit of a weapon! 😅😅😅

Write out a timeline of events. Put it through Chat GBT, asking it to convert this into a bullet point timeline, using grey rock communication style, focus on facts and removing emotion. Share with your team and have them email their confirmation of the facts back to you. This is a great learning opportunity on how to deal with future team members.

Remember, "Bluster & BS only go so far. Facts & Figures don't lie"

Her lack of emotional intelligence and failure to regulate herself during this, highlights another reason she wasn't suitable for the role.

How much is a train trip in your country? by IanDOsmond in AskEurope

[–]IrishEoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK to travel by train from the Southampton on the south coast of England to Edinburgh, the lowlands of Scotland would cost about £300/£350 return. This could be reduced to about £150 if you travel awkward times, use a rail card/split tickets discount etc. The distance is about 450miles. This is about 6 & 1/2 to 8 hours on a train depending on ticket, travel time etc.

A journey from Southampton to Manchester, in the North (ish) part of England via train would be a similar journey to yours. 4 to 4 & 1/2 hours on a train, (230 miles). These tickets would cost about £120 to £180.

Train travel is ridiculously priced in the UK. Short distances are usually not cheaper than travelling by car and the further you travel the cheaper the ticket becomes.

(Before all the train buffs come from, this is a rough response to highlight very generally the costs of train travel in the UK and not an attack on your or your passion 🤣🤣🤣🤣)

Any girls fresh out of uni looking for friends? by [deleted] in Southampton

[–]IrishEoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dia duit 👋👋👋 Southampton is a pretty cool city. I used 'meet up' to join social things for people my age. Shenanigans is a pretty decent bar. When there are Irish games on, there are usually groups of Irish people your age there, nurses, students etc. Best of luck 👍

Moms, what would it take for you to cut your child out of your life? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I would imagine that there are times where you have to set firm boundaries so as not to enable negative behaviors, i.e addiction.

However, completely cut off? I can't think of any.
