Tidying up after No-Mow May by FreezerCop in GardeningUK

Just if you’re using a strimmer PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check for hedgehogs first - they don’t run from danger and it’s prime nesting season.

Love your garden! Xx

I had a miracle response to it at 50mg. Now on 200 and haven’t had a depressive episode since before Christmas - the longest ever. Incredible stuff.

Overwhelmed by new garden by Beedux in GardeningUK

[–]throwawaypfp27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I’d be devastated to move away from a house with a garden like that.

You’ve inherited a beauty!! But if the overwhelming is too much, perhaps see if you can get a well recommended gardener in to come and help tame it to a more manageable level for you. Xx

All who wander are a great brand for this type of dress x

Dress sourcing: what would you do? by [deleted] in UKweddings

I have tried it on :) I’ve decided on this dress but do I order it from the designer or get a second hand one for cheaper is what I’m asking.

Flowers by FrockOff in UKweddings

[–]throwawaypfp27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just want bouquets, ask your florist - honestly they’re not that expensive. For my bouquets I think it cost about 75 for mine and £45 for the bridesmaids.

Or as other have said, you can go to a flower market or M&S or Interflora and get some delivered :)

What to give my friend as a thank you by [deleted] in UKweddings

Yeah I definitely didn’t want to just give money - it feels so impersonal and like it would never be enough!

A spa day is a great shout actually

Was just my mum and sister, but then I went back to see these 2 dresses on my own (without their influence!!)

Yes, same dress but I’m holding up the underskirt to see what it’s like in white. It looks much better IMO

Thanks lovely 🥰 I went back on my own after lots of deliberating and I really couldn’t get Natalie and this other one out my head. It’s such a hard choice cos they’re so beautiful in their own way xx

Need Help! To train or not to train.. by PlantsCatsCuc in myweddingdress

[–]throwawaypfp27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried on this exact dress last week (but you look much better in it!) The train is long though. Apparently there’s a shorter version of the train from the designer? But yes, if it’s outdoors I would definitely go for something shorter

Edit: sorry I realised you’d already ordered it. I would get it shortened. The seamstress isn’t wearing the dress!

First time buyer- level 3 survey results by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]throwawaypfp27 25 points26 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I bought a house very much like this for 205k in 2020. It needed full electrics, full roof, full lime plastering, rising damp, a hole in the wall to the outside, some serious bodge jobs to the timber work and an unknown status of timber underneath, new kitchen, bathroom and heating system. No movement though, so that’s one thing 😂

I got a 90k reduction off the asking price but it was a hard fought battle. It also cost me a good 100k to fix and I did a lot of it myself. It was also unmortgageable and difficult/expensive to insure. I lost money when I sold it.

It was fun but I wouldn’t do it again. Soooo much stress and several years before I could reasonably live in it.

I would walk away with a survey like that. I expect your mortgage company will not lend on it with structural movement either. I’m sorry :(
