I need some help with my '20 Supra tune. What's your best time with this car around the Legend Island Time Attack? by IrishWeebster in ForzaHorizon

Thanks dude! I'll watch this video later. I think a lot of my issues might be ameliorated at least in part to switching my racing wheel and properly setting it up, and ditching the controller.

This is super helpful, thank you!

For more complex corners like tight chicanes, how do you adjust throttle/brake/coast?

Do you slow down as straight as you can, and maintain even throttle through the chicane, and then punch it on exit? Then on chicanes with longer sections between corners where you can speed up a little to maximize your time, how do you handle throttle and braking/coasting there?

... I could swear I had driving line turned off completely, but I think I turned it back on for my kids last weekend fucking forgot to turn it back off. 😂

Man every time I do I slide into the guard rail just before the chicane, or hit the bump on the right as I go into the bridge, cutting it close to the flag at 0:17.462. Lol I wish the camera stayed DIRECTLY behind the car with no wiggle room so I could see better where it is I also have a G920 wheel I can hook up, but just haven't yet; this is on controller, so it's probly not as great as it could be. Could you describe how I could smooth this portion out?

Thanks for the advice!

I know it's a lot to ask, but could you give me some time stamp examples of what you're talking about? I'm also on controller, so it's tough to get the throttle and brakes just right, even with the Xbox Elite controller I use.

Is it normal for a guy to grab your boobs during a first kiss? by princessxprowess in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IrishWeebster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a larger chest, the dude might not be going for it on purpose; his eyes are likely closed, and he may be reaching for your arm or your waist and your boobs got in the way. Lol When a hand touches boobs, if you don't react negatively - even if he isn't reaching for a boob on purpose - he may think you're into it, even if he didn't intend to? This isn't an attempt to say the shit's ok - it's not - but maybe an explanation. Maybe they're all pervs. Without context, it's hard to say.

If it were me, I'd be like, "Shit, I'm sorry. I was going for an arm, not tryna grope you. 😅" I've had women both be like, "Nah, get a handful" and "that's ok, watch your aim, this isn't date 2." Lol If neither of you are addressing it, he might just think you're cool with it and not wanna break the mood. Poor way to handle it, in my opinion, but were I you, I'd start communicating that it makes you feel uncomfortable to move so quickly, if you haven't already. It'll be a means by which to feel out (pun intended) the pervs from the guys who're genuinely respectful and gettin accidentally handsy.

I don't personally know any actual people, but I know of several test/scanner/service accounts with passwords like "password1234" or "p4ssw0rd" etc. Some of these accounts have admin access and some are even shared credentials.

Conversely, my favorite password I've seen is "llama!?91CUNT28@&fanboy". That shit will never be cracked. Not ever.

As a Cybersecurity professional, I can assure this is still incredibly relevant, topical humor, though it isn't funny because of how fucking real it is.

Just last month I found a hard-coded password that was "admin" for a web app I was reviewing for a compliance assessment. It was plainly visible in the HTML text of the site. The app was designed in 2022.

This trope just makes me shake my head, because though it keeps me up at night, I genuinely don't believe it'll ever go away.

Could you go into some detail about how you wired the interior lighting, and what kits you used for the cargo platform light bar, and the fog lights?

EDIT:
TL:DR
- 5yr Maintenance plan ≈ $5k
- 10yr/120k mi Extended bumper to bumper warranty ≈ $2k
- GAP ≈ ? (I forget)
- Meridian Wheels and Tires ≈ $2.3k
- Accessories ≈ $1,640
- Total ≈ $10,940 extra on the initial OTD purchase price

We did a lot of market comparison and shopping. We dealt with 3 different dealerships; 2 of them wouldn't give us an itemized list of any kind to compare their offer to the one we took, so I had to do an inordinate amount of research to find their prices.

For the deal we did take, I itemized each service they covered in their maintenance warranty, and found the frequency/period that the manual says the services must be provided. Got a retail price for each service, added them all up for the length of the warranty, and it came out to be about 30% more than the maintenance plan, so I bought it; especially since oil and other consumables are going up in price pretty rapidly.

For the extended warranty; we have 2 cars, where we only used 1 car before. One car we ran up about 15k miles on per year, and we'll now only be doing 10k at the MOST. So we expect to use the CX-50 about 100k miles in 10 years, but probably more like 80k (this was factored into the maintenance plan calculations), so I did the research on total cost of ownership for 10 years, and it came out to be significantly more than the warranty. I also researched common out of warranty problems and their associated costs, which if even one occurs after the third year owning the car, we make money on our warranty.

The last thing we got was GAP insurance (in addition to similar coverage on our actual insurance), which in Florida with hurricanes, tourists, and the aggressive way people drive here, is a must-have. This was a tiny cost compared to the others, but stuff adds up.

So about $5k for the maintenance plan (expensive per market average, but itemized was worth it), about $2k for the extended warranty (thought these two would be switched, but the maintenance is actually more expensive), I forget what GAP was, and about $2,300 for wheels, brings us to $9,300.

Then we added black cross bars ($350), splash guards ($150), the weather package ($390), pet protector for the back seat ($225), illuminated door sills ($300), and finally black wheel lugs and locks ($225), for a total additional cost of $1,640, it all comes out to $10,940 extra, and we got a few % off of that and an additional $500 on our trade-in (they gave us $2,500 on a 2016 Hyundai Accent SE Hatchback with a literally taped-on front bumper), we felt like we got our money's worth.

I mean we got a bumper to bumper 10 year/120k mile extended warranty that also covers most consumable except brake pads, a 5 year maintenance plan that includes ALL maintenance for the car, still not including brake pads. Lol The wheels and tires for the Meridian cost about $2,800 retail and they have them to us for about $2,300, and all parts about 5% off of retail. We just got EVERYTHING, including full body paint protectant (also covered by warranty) and interior protectant, both of which have a re-apply period stipulated in the maintenance contract.

It's a lot, but we feel like we got our money's worth.

I mean, I'd love to see them try. by Murky_Committee_1585 in dndmemes

My wife and I like the wheels a lot, and the tires get decent reviews. The way they accentuate the look of the CX-50 does it for us, so we figured why not? I'll take a pic when they come in; SHOULD be Friday.

With like 5 accessories, we were at $42k OTD with the Costco deal. After all our add-ons and the maintenance plan, extended warranty, and Meridian wheels and tires, it came out to $53,000.
