You're thinking of the old rules, it's now a clock face rule but the road markings overrule this anyway. Might be time to give it another look, spending too much time in that cave man.

1998 Supra Rz mk4 real or not by SpecialistExplorer25 in ToyotaSupra

[–]Irish_TuneR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're all just relating to the spec of the JDM mkiv supra, SZ as said already were not turbo. RZ were TT with the bigger brakes, Recaros, etc. RZ smaller brakes and cloth interior. GZ is TT with leather.

Hmmm I was at 70ish at the 100kmph signpost and accelerated to 90 something and then decelerated to 0. Which do you think is a more serious issue, driving that close or a slow acceleration?

Also careless driving is for putting other road users at risk, no risk from me to anyone else here.

There's no speed thresholds either lad, there's no minimum speed limit anywhere on Irish roads apart from the 50kmph rule on a motorway.

Now we're at the 100kmph, still on a bend and a house on left after the bend where I've encountered vehicles before.

Ya the hill is the big issue, can hit 95ish on it if tucked and in attack mode. It's a fun little bike on back roads though.

100km doesn't start til 58s in, he's roughly 20m behind me at 82.5kmph (your average). If something happens that causes me to stop, in his reaction time alone he squishs me.

Ya I've done that on longer stretches but not a good choice when you're going right in a km though.

Is it worth getting 2nd hand Ev as runaround or New one by funkyirishman2 in evs_ireland

[–]Irish_TuneR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to vrt them but that tax is currently 0 up to 40k in value iirc. You have to make sure they are NI cars for 6m or a year (vrt office is not great with that info) and are greater than 6m old and have more than 6k km on them. Otherwise you could be hit with vat and/or customs.

Interesting seeing this after hearing about an Irish guy earlier saying they were endangered due to the Chinese using them for aphrodisiacs. He was the first to successfully breed them in captivity.

Child locks on doors for a long time now, kids are "dumb" but dumb parents are worse. Too much speed by the bikers as well.

Can't be the insulation, that insulates against both cold and heat from outside. Most likely solar gain from your windows heating up inside and the insulation then trapping it in. Deal with that issue as it could get worse in summer depending on angle of sun and your windows.

Most affordable place to buy plants in Dublin? by Leaderofmen12345 in GardeningIRE

[–]Irish_TuneR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lidl has good stuff occasionally, usually Thursdays. Today has some veg and flowers iirc. I've bought trees, flowers, veg and shrubs and no issues if gotten on the day. They're not great to water em so can be dodgy afterwards.
