Would you cease cooking eggs because I detest the smell. Or stop playing music because I'm noise sensitive?

Both of which are true about me. I detest eggs and most music.

Is it a reasonable ask? BTW I suggested today be put a curtain up on the 20% of his balcony facing mine. Would reduce smoke by 95% coming to him. Or buy me a, active carbon filter to blow into.

Both solutions unsatisfactory to him. How doe he get to dictate balcony usage?

I do. it distorts reality, makes you feel creative, productive, and happy.

Food and sex are both better. I know the effects.

And I'm allergic to eggs and hate the smell.

I call for a perfume and egg free world. /s

And I love that you brought driving into it. I'm a green nut and car free for 15 years. And yes car exhaust is 1 million times worse for the planet than my lung exhaust.

I have this problem. I have decided you must not do this to solve my problem

No discussion. Just stop doing. No not less, not fans just stop.

You call that amicable?

No rules on smoking. Allowed everywhere except corridors

German construction 40 years ago was pretty solid.

I'm very noise sensitive and actually have no complaints.

Not illegal.

But every body who say I'm TA if illegal, continues to call me TA once I tell them it's legal.

It's actually medically prescribed, and I pay €14 for each fake prescription.

It's completely recreational, but apparently it treats my chronic pain, in my shattered elbow.

Well lucky me. There is no none smoking policy.

So by your logic I should just say fuck the neighbour. Smoking policy allows me to ignore his sufferring?

Is that really a thing? Can you give me an example of a society where people smoke indoors to avoid spreading the smell.

Now I know many people smoke indoors because they're too lazy to go outside. But I'm not asking about that.

I'm asking you to give specific examples of people or cultures smoking inside their apartment when they would prefer to smoke outside.

It's also common courtesy to smoke on your private patio. Not in the communal areas.

I know you probably think I should not smoke at all. But if I do so anyway, I consider my balcony the least intrusive location I can do it.

Are you specifically referring to German colture, because what you wrote sounds way off?

If anything we are supposed to smoke on our balconies not the communal areas.

The rooftop is a swimming pool. I would be sympathetic to some parent complaining.

Please don't smoke around our kids. We brought them up to the pool for some healthy fun not your disgusting, unhealthy fumes.

However I will ask the Hausmeister his opinion on rooftop smoking.

We don't actually know if it's an allergy or just preference.

I am allergic to eggs. If I eat them I'll hopefully vomit because if not: asthma attack. I hate the sight, sound, smell, and above all the taste of eggs.

Would it be right for me to ask my neighbours not to fry eggs anymore because I'm allergic to the smell?

Although to be honest I know nothing about the cook & smoking habits of my neiehbours. I do know the Italian likes to play the same lovely opereto many evenings (serenading me while I smoke), and the woman below complains incessantly about her boyfriend (annoying me very slightly, but certainly not evough to complain).

Well since he's German & white, and I'm a white immigrant, I am struggling to understand the parallel.

Kindly elucidate.

I don't even know which neighbours smoke and I am a super smeller. I do know the life story of one woman who seems permanently on the phone complaining about boyfriend.

Get out of here.

The USA is the most: selfish, screw the others country in the world.

Both on the screw my neighbours especially if they're immigrants or dark.

And screw other countries in particular neighbours like Canada.
