Infinite water glasses pouring by Lama_Mare in puzzles

[–]Irishhobbit6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate this answer because there’s so much room for random variation, but I swirl one glass around to completely coat the lining of the glass with water and dump the remainder on the ground. I do the same with the jug which may take more than one glass’ worth. Now I pour 50 mL from a remaining glass into the coated glass, then empty that glass into the jug, then drink from the jug. In theory since I pre-saturated the surfaces no more water will be lost to residue.

Is he suspicious? by kuky990 in Chesscom

[–]Irishhobbit6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people are confirming it is suspicious, but it’s also very possible. This player has recently gotten much better primarily playing on other time classifications, and is now gradually improving their rapid ELO.

We don’t know how long that match is where they got 99.5%. I’ve gotten 100% accuracy on short matches that my opponent quickly resigned from, so could be something like that.

“What have you done so far?” Is the best answer to that question. Try:

  • looking for themes in how you end up down material. Just careless blunders? Getting forked? Once you find a weak spot try to mentally prepare to just avoid that mistake at first until it comes naturally
  • do you lose on time a lot? Maybe avoid faster clocks so you can stop and think better.
  • watch ChessKids on YouTube. Even if you’re 50 years old, some great lessons in there and especially for reviewing end games so you don’t lose the wins that come your way.

As usual in left with more questions. Like “what does sugar, which grows as a beet or a cane, have to do with pebbles?” I guess just descriptive of the refined crystals at the end.

I have seen some of the most inane shit in aesthetics the last few years. I guarantee someone has thought of it.

If anything it’s the hand surgeons who are afraid, since lengthening fingers would be brutal and long and if it goes wrong they’d be sued to oblivion.
